I have the 2002 edition of Roverandom edited by Christina Scull and Wayne G. Hammond (black paperback) and in the introduction it suggests that all five of the Roverandom illustrations are included in the book. I can only find two: Rover Arrives on the Moon (at the beginning of the story) and The White Dragon Pursues Roverandom and the Moondog (facing the first page of the Notes). Where are the other three located in the text?

I have Artist and Illustrator, which apparently has all the illustrations, I would just like to be able to find them in the text.

*leans over and takes down my copy of the black edition* - Harper Collins, yes?

Well, the three colour illoes are here in my copy. [1999]. One [the Merking’s Palce garden] is on the inside of the rear cover; the other two are on the inside of the front cover. If they’re not on the inside covers of your 2002 edition, then it looks like they’ve made a boo-boo! The notes stating that the illustrations are in the text come from the original first printing of the book [where all of the illustrations were grouped together in the centre of the book - and much better reproduced, too].

I should have a word with the publisher if I were you. These things happen some times, and it’s darned irritating.

Yes it’s HarperCollins. The two in my copy are black and white only as well.
