My name is Karalee and I live in Minnesota (yes, we are having a white Christmas). I was born on May 21. I am 34 years old (did I admit that out loud???). I got sick with a chronic illness when I was 14 so no job or schooling past that point. That is when I embarked on what I like to call my alternative lifestyle. I have the imagination and the time, now I am honing my skills (Yes, I am practicing on you guys, deal with it!). Tolkien started my love affair with fantasy/sci-fi. I read him for the first time when I was about eight, coincidentally, just after I read his good friend’s work, the Chronicles of Narnia. I have such a hard time choosing favorites that I usually just say I am glad I don’t have to. I can’t even remember how many times I have reread the books. I have watched the EE DVDs several times. I wanted to hear all the commentary tracks and watch all the documentaries. And no, I am NOT a freak… O.K. maybe a little bit of a freak. I said I have time! I haven’t seen RotK yet, but I hope to in the next few weeks. I joined the plaza Nov. 27 but only became a dwarf a few days ago, I think it was Dec. 21? I chose the dwarves because they allowed me to play such a large part in the Mystery War RP. I wasn’t expecting that, particularly because I am new to RP. Dis and Edain helped me over the bumps and I made some friends. KD is just the coolest and friendliest of the kingdoms IMHO. I love it here. I am focusing on the army threads right now (except for taking a little break in a pub) until I get a good handle on that. I also visit a Fangorn thread and I am doing some cooking in the Shire. Greatest Plaza accomplishment so far? Talking Anno into letting me be a part of the Mystery RP! I am a Kadokhazad in the army, but nothing else so far. Favorites? Mostly I just enjoy what life has to offer as it comes. I enjoy cross-stitch, reading, baking, watching the birds in our back yard (saw a bald eagle last week, even though we live in a residential area), and the computer. And Khazad-dum!
