They had been gone for two months, so there came messages to Rivendell from both Lórien and Mirkwood, begging them to help them find their kin; they were afraid they had been captured by the Easterlings. They themselves were too busy keeping the evils of Mordor out of their countries.

Tuesday, October 29: During the night, Elnarsil discovered a great army of Easterlings on Oliphants not far away. Alas, the army did not have the strenght to fight an army this big yet, and had to find a way to scare them of, before the Easterling would discover who was in the Talan.
Tuesday, October 29: The army found out that the Oliphants are afraid of mice and rats, and the ent, Aniroaldawen made a squeaking noise with her bark, and it made the Oliphants very nervous. Elnarsil then put on a giant Mickey Mouse costume, and the Oliphants ran of with all the Easterlings, except the ones who had fallen of and got stamped by them.

Thursday, October 31: After a while, the warriors starts drinking and gladly tells strangers why they are there, and they also learn that the elves where captured by the Easterlings and taken to the mountains south-west of the Rhun sea. But in the meantime a cloaked figure dissappears to tell his superiors what he’s heard, and quickly comes back.
Thursday, October 31: As the elves got up, they found themselves reeling from side to side because of all the wine, and the cloaked figure offers to help getting the elves to their beds. But the combined weight of Arlo and Elnarsil were too much for the cloaked person, and they all fell down the stairs, knocking off the hood. The uncovered face belonged to a hideous goblin-man, who quickly jumped up and put a knife to the innkeepers throat, demanding a safe passage out of the inn. The elves had to shake of the drowsiness to save the innkeeper and to try to take the goblin-man alive. They got him and draged him outside and started torturing him to find out what he knew.
Friday, November 1: After long questioning the goblin-man started talking and told that the Easterlings were led by a few Nazgúl who wanted to execute their prisoners the following day at sundown. The army had to hurry to help the lost elves.
Friday, November 1: The army rode off to the mountain where the lost elves were taken captive. They had to use the main mountain trail which the Easterlings used as well.
Friday, November 1: As soon as the elves reached the main pass of the mountains they found it blocked by an excessive amount of snow and it was impassable. Yet one of the scouts noticed a tunnel going through the side of the mountain, which seemed to come out on the other side of the pass. The army entered the tunnel, and as the elves got half way inside the tunnel, they suddenly felt the ground shaking under their feet - they felt an earthquake. The elves tried to run to the exit yet giant balls of snow rolled into the tunnel and blocked the exit on each side, stuffing the passage almost completely with snow. They had to get out before the air went out. They barely made it.
Friday, November 1: When they got through to the other side, they saw a Nazgúl standing on the mountainpeak casting some powerful magic spells. They understood that the Nazgúl had caused the earthquakes. They tried to shoot arrows, but the distance was too great. The Nazgúl dissappeared out of sight towards the place where the elves were held.
Friday, November 1: Three stone giants spotted the elves and came out of their caves. The three giants had never seen an elf before (thiat part of the Mountain was quite isolated). As the giants got a closer look at the elves they started to demand that one of the elves stayed in their cave and to entertain them forever, otherwise the army wasn’t going to pass. The giants were blocking the passage and to fight them on their territory would be foolish. The elves had to find a way to fool the stone giants and to save whoever was going to be “left behind” to entertain them.
Saturday, November 2: As the trail got harder, the elves tied ropes to eachother incase anyone fell. Then it wouldn’t be fatal. After a while of walking, the elves made some sleds and tied it to their animals. With this new transportation, they started catching up with the Easterlings quite fast. And when they got close enough, The Easterlings’ ambassador rode to meet them. He greeted Elnarsil as an enemy of his, and Elnarsil replied with mortal. The two agreed that the battle could be held after the end of the storm, which was predicted to be in a day. The Easterlings agreed to not do anything to the captured elves on the condition that the elves gave them some miruvor to get warmed up. Elnarsil agreed. And during the storm, they sat in in the Yurt getting their strength up for the big battle.
Monday, November 4: THE BATTLE STARTED!!!!!
Monday, November 4: The battle went on for a long time, and both sides suffered big losses. But when the battle was about to end, Elnarsil and the leader of the Easterlings made an agreement. The Easterlings wanted one barrel of Miruvor in exchange for the prisoners. The elves agreed, and the Easterlings let the prisoners go, not knwing that they were holding the Flute of Lúthien Tinúviel. The mission had been accomplished - and the Elves of Mirkwood and Lorien were freed and the Flute of Luthien found and would be brought to Rivendell to cheer the hearts of the Elves. And as the Elves started their descent down the mountains of Rhun, cries of joy and merriment were heard on the peak as the Easterlings enjoyed the work of Master Elrond - Miruvor. The Elves smiled at the mortals and continued their descent while listening to the beautiful melody played by the Flute.
