Arlo Cúthalion
In the year 431 of the First Age, Arlo Cúthalion was born in Doriath, realm of King Thingol and Queen Melian. Not long after, in 505, that Kingdom was ruined by the sons of Fëanor and Arlo escaped with Galadriel and Celeborn to the more eastern regions of Middle-earth. At first, he dwelled in the new founded kingdom of Eregion. Yet soon Sauron, at this point still called Annatar, told Celebrimbor to revolt against Galadriel and Celeborn, and Arlo left Eregion and passed through Khazad-Dűm to Lórinand. This was in the Second Age, around the year 1380. For 1600 years he remained there, while the Three and the One were forged, and Imladris founded far to the east.
Then, in the year 3000, Arlo met Laebeth Elvelethril upon Cerin Amroth in Lothlórien, and wedded her. Following this, he left the Golden Wood and travelled far and wide with Laebeth. In Mirkwood, their child Alkthoniel was born. They then left for the Refuge of Imladris, and made it their home. But one of the Nazgűl came to Imladris, and Laebeth was slain. Arlo departed to the Heavens to go the Uttermost West, but by the grace of Námo Laebeth had returned from his Halls, and they went back to Rivendell.
After the Downfall of Barad-Dűr and the departure of Elrond Half-Elven (in 3023 of the Third Age), Arlo and his daughter took up rule in Imladris, reigning over the remnant of the Noldor and Sindar that had not yet departed West. Long years passed, but eventually Lae and Arlo knew their time had come. They bade their daughter farewell, and made their way to the Heavens. And as the sun set into Belegaer, they sailed out from Middle-earth, and the story of Strongbow and Maiden of the Seastar was fulfilled.
