Curufinwë
Curufinwë is an elf from the Noldor race. He is a descendant of Finwë, and his name was given in honour of Finwë's favourite son. He, as most of his ancestors, lived in Valinor during the first years of his life, but, as he heard many stories of Fëanor and his heroic deeds, he wanted to travel to the east and see the other world.
He thought about it all of his life, since he born until he was 4200 years old, and when he finally decided it, Curufinwë asked a friend of his of the race of the Teleri for a boat to get to ME, taking his brother with him. His brother, Caranwilya, didnt want to go there at the beginning, but after a lot of discussions with Curufinwë about how beautiful that new land could be, Caranwilya acceded to go. So they set off to ME, leaving in Valinor their parents and their other siblings, Winddancer and Turtirithon
During the voyage, both elves couldnt think about anything but their home. Caranwilya was always protesting, and was very sad for going away. Curufinwë was also sad, but his love for adventure and his impulsive character, made him think that it was for sure a great adventure to live, although their return to Valinor could be impossible.
When they reached Middle Earth, they felt a bit dissapointed, as the place was not so beautiful as Valinor, so they went to find a forest. Their quest to find a forest wasn't very easy. They had no weapons, because they though it was as safe as Valinor, but they were wrong, and they had to hide many times of the people that passed near them. They couldn't distinguish between good people and bad people, as they had never seen a human, a dwarf, an orc and all those non-elven races.
They landed by the river greyflood and they didnt know what to do, so after discussing their route, Caranwilya said they could follow the river, as if they get lost, they will know how to find their boat. Following the river from the southern part of it, they reached Moria. They couldnt find the way to enter in Moria, although they stayed there for days. They couldnt find the words the door were asking for... it was too difficult, they thought... or too easy... so they tried to climb the mountain. Fortunately, Curufinwë loved sports, as well as Caranwilya, and they each of them had the necessary things to climb it, including two very long elven ropes. After they finished climbing, they saw the beautiful landscape and watched both sides of the sierra. They looked for the nearest forest, and they saw Lothlorien. They went inside, and everything seemed beautiful and it reminded them of Valinor. They were afraid of what will happen there, as they didn't saw anybody, and the woods were too silent. After some time, a group of elves stopped them and asked them what they were doing. After they convinced the group of elves of who they were, where did they come from, and their race, they were taken to the lady Galadriel and the lord Celeborn.
They were very nicely treated, especially by Galadriel. After some years, when Curufinwë was 4726 years old, their parents went to lothlorien to see what they did there, because they loved too much their sons and they wanted to see them. They took with them their two other children, who were then sufficiently grown up to decide where to live... and they decided to live in ME, with Curufinwë and Caranwilya. 5 years later, Curufinwë's father got killed by a group of black Numenoreans and orcs, and great sorrow and rage grew in their hearts. Since then, Curufinwë had a lot of rancor against humans and orcs, although he could stand the noble rohirrim. Their mother, after two years, died because she didnt want to live any more without her husband, and the two brothers were alone and with no help but their friends'.
When Curufinwë got to be 4982 years old, they heard that many elves of different races went to Rivendell to have a lot of fun and adventures. Curufinwë loved all those things and wanted to join the army to have revenge for what Sauron's minions did. He went there alone as he couldn't convince his brother to follow him. There Curufinwë found a place in the army, reaching soon a high rank and the job of archery Master, because of his incredible skills with the bow, and of trainer; in the Architecture guild, getting soon the position of architect, then head architect, and finally Master Designer of Khazad Dûm; in the breeding centre, organising it all and breeding and training Dragons, helping Airewethien. He also received there all the animals he has now: a wolf-hound called Huorë, which means courage, a dragon called Eldalókë which means elven serpent, an eagle called Nolwë which means wisdom, and a horse called Moritulkarokko which means strong black horse. He also found the elfmaid of his life. The wonderful and beautiful, prettiest of all elven maidens, Aredhele from the house of Amaneldi.
A month later, Caranwilya went to Khazad Dûm and lived there for some time with the Yukogs clan. He sometimes went to Rivendell to visit Curufinwë and tell him what he did with the Yukogs, and Curufinwë sometimes went to Khazad Dûm to visit his brother. In Khazad dûm, Curufinwë went to a special place where a nice and funny rebel dwarf had a maze. The dwarf, who was called Borromino, promised a famous title to the one who finished his maze more times. Curufinwë managed to do it 4 times, tied with a Dwarf called Marin. Curufinwë and Marin achieved the title of Keepers of Mazes, with which many people recognised them in Khazad dûm.
After some time, sad news covered Curufinwë's heart. Caranwilya returned to Lothlorien, so Curufinwë felt alone, as he couldnt return so easily to their first home in Middle Earth. Caranwilya promised he will return, but he never said when. Fortunately, Winddancer and Turtirithon went to Rivendell when they saw Caranwilya return, because they thought Curufinwë was alone. Then Curufinwë didn't feel so lonely as he thought he will be. He even found the strength to ask Aredhele to marry him.
Two weeks later, Curufinwë married Aredhele, and they adopted three children: Neenuvar, Endilion and Celebchilion. This last one went to a quest with Curufinwë and Aredhele, but never returned. Endilion married Andi Vanariel, another beautiful elfmaid. Neenuvar still isnt married, but she reached success in the Architecture guild, reaching a position where she is now his father's boss, success of which Curufinwë is very proud.
Curufinwë and Aredhele now live in a house in Rivendell, designed by Curufinwë, and where their animals play and train with each other. Winddancer and Turtirithon are always travelling through the different kingdoms of ME, but from time to time visit their brother Curufinwë, so he feels better, as the family he had been living with for more than 4000 years, had suddenly disappeared, and the only way to fill that hole in his heart was by seeing at least one of his siblings.
