Elenedhel
Elle
by April Lee
Elenedhel began her first years of life in Lothlorien, among the
great Malorn trees. She had a simple and happy life with her blood mother
and father, living in the small cottage amongst the great trees. Her
father was a well-respected elf, being one of the most elite of the Elven
rangers. He was of the Silvan elves and had, in his earlier years,
journeyed to Rivendell as an envoy for Celeborn and Galadriel. That was
where he met Elenedhel’s Sindar mother and they had married after few years
of courtship. Her mother moved to Lothlorien with her father, where they
lived together happily.
It was on her 9th birthday, that Elenedhel’s father did not return from
his usual scouting trip... Her mother died of grief less than three months
later, leaving an orphaned Elenedhel sitting red eyed on the front steps
of the cottage. Not knowing what else to do with the child, her fathers friends sent her
to Rivendell, to live with her mother’s family. Edhellen grew up quiet
but strong, both in mind and body.
When she deemed she was old enough, Elenedhel made her presence in Rivendell
known, and slowly started making more appearances in the kingdom. After
being asked to formulate a nickname by her ruler, Pip, she became known as
Elle to all who knew her. Weeks went by and she began to meet new people
and gained many friends. She joined the Elven Army’s Rivendell Defence
Force and made her way up the rank structure. It was around this time
that Elle was adopted by Alkthon, and gained in her the mother that she
had lost those many years ago.
Now, Elle has many friends throughout Rivendell and the other Middle
Earth Kingdoms. She is still a relatively quiet elf, but is known for her
short bouts of insanity amongst those who know her best. Elle is now a
Captain of the Rivendell Defence and helps with the running and organising
of the Army as much as she can. She can be found almost anywhere within
Middle Earth, whether sitting in the Rivendell Chamber of Audience or
having a glass of wine in the Minas Tirith Inn.
