Elwë Valaraukar
Elwë Tyelpelen 'Valaraukar', a Noldorin and Telerin elf, was born in Ost-in-Edhil, Eregion, in the year 820 of the second age, in which time his family was living there. Aduchil, his father, named him as Elwë since he was very tall, even for his family. Having grey, silvery hair and loving above all the stars since he was little, his mother named him Tyelpelen, silver star, name he loves most, but also the one he keeps secret from every one. His eyes were blue and misty as the sea, most probably due to his Telerin ascendance.
When he got 50 years old, his father introduced him to Celebrimbor who instantely made friendship with him. From him, Elwë learned much of his skills in forging and it was with his help that Elwë forged the three 'silver spheres' from which use and knowledge nobody would discover in a long time. And for more 300 years Elwë lived a life of learning at Eregion, by the side of Celebrimbor, who taught him skill, and by the side of his father, who taught him valour. But when Annatar first step foot on Eregion, a shadow fell over Elwë's heart, who realised that his time there had ended. Therefore, in secret, he departed from Eregion and headed for the fair lands of Lindon, in the northwest of middle-earth. Though a endless storm fell on his way there and he had either to choices: to go east, or to return. But someone from Elwë's family do not step backward, unless by death. As so, he turned eastward and crossed the misty mountains at Cirith Forn en Andrath, near where it would soon be the last homely house.
He kept striding east till he reached the great river. Amazed he was with it for from all the history he had learnt, he had not heard of such river. He built a raft and crossed it. He kept walking and finally reached the eaves of Green Forest. Long he walked among the trees and birds who seemed happy on that forest until he reached the kingdom of Silvan Elves that were settled there. Their lord, Oropher, a Sindarin Elf, received Elwë with joy for he could percieve that Telerin blood flowed through his veins. For more than 500 years Elwë lived there in happyness, in which time he sealed a great friendship with Thranduil, son of Oropher. But his Elven heart was unquiet and again, he set foot secretly to Eregion. But the year 1700 of the second age had come.
Elwë crossed the Caradhras Pass in 1701 and when he reached Eregion in the Autumn, he depared himself with a desolated scenery: Eregion was completely destroyed and no signs of life he saw there. Attempting again to find Lindon, he went north, and when he was near what would later be the Shire, Elwë encountered again one of the things he had always desired to see, but hadn't. He found Men. Tall their were, almost to his height, and with no more delays he approached one, speaking in Quenya. The Man took him to his captain and he spoke with him. The Men were very surprised to see an Elf in such places and Elwë told them from where he had come and part of his story. Then the captain told Elwë all that happened in the time he was away. And from it Elwë, knew where his father and family were: Rivendell. There he strode to, and he reached it finally in the winter.
He saw Cirith Forn again, his family, and on the top of everything: his father. And there he lived in relief for more than 1500 years, in which time he instructed him self in lore of old and traveled some times to Lindon, where he met Círdan, Gil-Galad, and the other Elves living there. But in the year 3255 of the same age, a messenger arrived to Rivendell, saying that he beared a message to Elu Celebel. The messenger handled the letter to Elwë and left at once. Elwë read it seriously. It was Thranduil. He asked him to meet with him again at the forest, and perhaps live some time there. Elwë talked with his father and decided what to do. He was departing. He said goodbye to everyone and traveled to Green Forest.
Oropher and Thranduil were waiting for him. There he lived for a bit more than 150 years until the threat of Sauron arose and Oropher decided to help Gil-Galad. Elwë went to the war, under the banner of Oropher, as one of his captains. We made our way through the forest and when we arrived at the south end of the forest, we met the army of Malgalad Amdír of Lórien. Together we strode and we met Gil-Galad and the Last Alliance army near what would later be called the Dagorlad. There, the spirit of Oropher departed, for he was to eager to fight, and swiftly defeated he was by the forces of Barad-Dûr. Elwë cryed for the first time on his life, but he did not quit and fought for revenge along the side of Thranduil who had miraculously escaped. The war was won and Barad-dûr was overthrown. With only one third of the army Oropher had led, did Thranduil lead it home. Elwë followed him till the center of Mirkwood and then he said goodbye, for he knew that his place wasn't there anymore. He left to Rivendell, and still now he is living there among his family.
