Lilu Olnathron

Her father a human, her mother an elf, Lilu is
a Pereldhi, taking the name Olnathron when she was wed to Mor
Olnathron of Mirkwood. Lilu was born in 510 of the First Age.
Gondolin had fallen, and she was born into an unmerciful world
on the way to the Mouths of Sirion during the flight of the
exiles. The loss of many of her loved ones combined with terrible
injuries and the strain of giving birth, proved too much for
her mother, who sadly passed away shortly after Lilu was born.
Some felt she died of grief or was weary of the world, and not
wanting to see his daughter share her fate, Lilu's father took
her north to Lothlórien to be raised by the elves there.
She never knew what happened to him for she was brought up by
Avarliel. She made no conscious choice to live an elven life
for she believed she was one of them. Only when she matured
did her adoptive mother tell her the tale of her parents and
her bloodline. Realizing that her father would be long deceased,
Lilu devoted herself to learning the arts of combat so she could
defend her loved ones against the threat of enemies. She was
denied a family and the possibility of ever seeing Gondolin
thanks to the forces of evil, and she swore that as long as
she drew breath, she would protect her kinsfolk against Sauron's
dark forces. For many years she lived in the Golden Wood, until
the building of Imladris in 1697 of the Second Age by Lord Elrond.
She was curious to see this haven at the foot of the Misty Mountains
and set forth to see it for herself. She had heard much about
the deeds of Glorfindel who had slain a balrog, thus making
her mothers escape from Gondolin possible, and also of the wisdom
and deeds of Elrond, who like her, was half-elven. After only
a few months in the valley, she felt that she had finally found
her home. She found that her skills with the sword had a place
in the Host, and made many friends in Rivendell. To this day
she keeps her oath; to protect all those she loves against evil.
