Morlithion Lómëaryon
Morlithion Lómëaryon was born to Lómëaryon and Ananduriel in Lindon during the Second Age. He is brother to the fair Elven-maiden Alcehorwen. Soon after he was born, his family relocated to the Golden Wood. When Lithion was older, he said farewell to his mother and his father and departed into the wild. He traveled to Eregion where he was taken as an apprentice to Celebrimbor and was taught the basics of smithing and crafting. After a few years he departed from the land and made his way into the wild.
He then traveled to the very place he was born, Lindon. He arrived after many days of travel with only his bow Ruvenelin and the clothes on his back. When he arrived, the Elf looked into the Great Sea and one glimpse of the sea made him forget all in Middle-earth and it’s troubles and he desired to sail into the West. Into Valinor...
He then shook his head and swore an oath in Sindarin saying: Gweston beriad Ardhon a ’waith hón phain nan aur gurth nin têg nan Thaim Mandos min ndýr ennui Balannor. In the Common Tounge: I swear to protect Arda and all it’s inhabitants until the very day where death takes me to the Halls of Mandos in the Western lands of Valinor.
The Elf then continued his journeys into the wild until he entered the hidden refuge of Imladris. There he was given his sword. It was given to him by his father whom he met there once more. The sword was fairer then many in Middle-earth.
The sword was the brother-sword of Eldarúth, Eldar’s Ire, the sword of his father. The sword was leaf-shaped and three feet in length. The blade was wrought of mithril and the Tengwar inscription made from ithildin on the blade said: "Andúrûth, Wrath of the West." The hilt was jet-black for it was made of the mysterious metal of Eöl called galvorn.
The Elven-host departed from Imladris joined with the Army of Elendil, the Elf-friend, to launch an attack on Mordor and throw Sauron out of power for good. Lithion marched under the banner of Gil-galad and many other Elves of Middle-earth. After the war and many lives gone, Lithion returned to his homeland of Lórien.
Little had changed though many of it’s inhabitants were lost and their souls departed to the Undying Lands. He stayed there as a Lord of the Golden Wood for many years. He soon departed and wandered through the wild until he reached the Brown Lands near Greenwood which was now Mirkwood. Horses ran freely through these lands, but one gray steed caught the Elven-lord’s eye.
The stallion was fair as the West Wind. Lithion gave him the name Isilmírë, the Jewel of the Moon. Lithion followed the horse for many days until he finally tamed him and rode him to Rivendell. There he enlisted into the Elven Army of Imladris and he joined the Troops Abroad as a Tirno. Then, many weapons were crafted for him and Isilmírë was trained in many skills and his speed could rival that of a horse of Rohan.
Lithion now serves the Elven Army of Imladris and defends the borders of all the lands of Middle-earth with his captains and his comrades. But, when luck finds him home in Rivendell, he sits upon the high seats of the Chambers of Audience and he often wanders through the valley of Imladris pondering upon the wonders of the Undying Lands which he longs to see...
