You walk into a beautiful old library in the middle of Rivendell and as you are trying to choose a book, a deep red, hardback book with "Rivendell Dictionary" written on the spine in gold letters catches your eye. Taking it off the shelf, you carefully open it, and find that it is...

A

~ABLE: a horrific disease affecting elves in which two things happen: 1) they add the ending -able to every other word in their genralable speech, and 2) their friends will somehow catch the ~NESS disease.
Afearfulled: To show ones great fear for something, or to show that something has a great fear for you.
Attackle: It’s kind of like a "glomp"...run/jump/attack/hug/tickle.

B

Blah: exactly how it sounds, used when something is boring or when you can’t really think of anything intelligent to say.
Blithwapping: to hammer something in using anything but a hammer.
Bloop: meaning *bounce on a person*, say “Oops”
Brandybuck, -bucked, -bucking, -bucks: (verb) 1) attempt to insult in a fashion that actually pays a compliment. As in: "A minion brandybucked Elves, calling them cute, silly, or insane." 2) A complement meant as an insult and therefore not true. cf. Lobelia Sackville-Baggins says to Frodo "You’re a Brandybuck".
Buggad:: a word that means absolutely nothing. Said when a person has nothing to say, to deliberately create confusion.
Bump, (Bumpies), etc: To get a thread to the top of a forum so it doesn’t get buried.
Bumperoo: an odd creature akin to a kangaroo, often used in thread bumping.

C

Confuzzled: (Adv.) 1. To be confused to a great degree... but in a very cute elfie way, e.g. Lokei was very confuzzled by Narelen’s decision to paint the whole Bards’ Guild hot pink. 2. To have a situation go awry, e.g. Elle was very unhappy when her foo-foo battle plan was confuzzled by the dark and dreadful Minions.
Cuppacuppa: not bad, okay, so so.

D

Dinglethwacko: Used especially in situations where Mumakil are concerned, to glomp and foodle the Great Beast at the same time. If your foe is confuzzled already, as I sincerely hope he is, he will jump 50 feet in the air and land on his head in a tree.

E

Eeky: (adj.) meaning disgusting, repulsive, ugly...anything horrible that you cannot find a word to describe.
Eep: [ee-p] An exclamation of confuzzlement, expressed as a kind of squeakish thing.
Elveynessish: being Elven, something in like of the Elder.
Erf: sound one makes when they are confused or merely to make a statement.

F

Finkle: (verb) a bad situation in which one is trapped in a burning building with only a typewriter and a napkin with the crest of the duchess of Winnipeg handy.
Flidget: To move rapidly, possibly away from something scary!
Fliggles: Tiny little pink balls of flouff which emanate out of elves heads, visible only by the most trained magician, indicating definite and incurable Foo-Fooness
Flomp: (adv). [Also see glomp] . A flomp ~ flomping, a physical situation that occurs when the glomper entirely misses the intended glomp target, and ends up on floor/earth/river bottom; or when you hit people with giant marshmallows
Flouff: [flu-uf] 1. (noun) The stuff that us ickle elves have in our heads. It’s what makes us insane!! E.g. Leal happily poked her inner-flouff.
Fluffleglomp: An even bigger version of the normal glomp, with extra squeezy hugging!
FOID: (abr.) Feeling of Impending Doom.
FONTFLAD: (abr.) Falls ON The Floor Laughing And Dies.
Foober: it’s a when you make a boo-boo and you hit yourself for it
Foodle: [fuu-dul] (verb.) To curse and smack oneself on the forehead, after doing something stupid.
Foo-Fooness: superficial silliness/absurdity.
Funtastic: (adj.) When something is fantastically fun.
Fwiket: you say it when you are in pain, like if you hit yourself with a hammer.

G

Glarp: a type of instrument
Glomp: Traditionally means to run at the target, leap animatedly into the air and dive-tackle them, resulting in a great hug. May also be used for a kind of sudden and unexpected bodilly hug. Run/tackle/hug type thing.
Glorks: Glomps+Sporks=Glorks!
Gollum Syndrome: A sickness that affects plaza members occasionally and results in the addition of multiple s’ to everything. The word "precioussssss" also tends to pop up a lot in the conversation.
Gorg: A noise made when expressing annoyance (stress the O)
Gump: (verb) 1. To bump with a glomp to the strongest ability. 2. To do the tango with Michael Maguire under a full moon while a band of sporks play an Irish fold song.

H

Hahaheehoosnickersnicker: (verb) when someone breaks into tremendous laughter.
Huggle: a cross between a hug and a snuggle, or alternatively a hug and a cuddle. Very warm!
Huggleglompsnigglesigh: An expression of utmost contentment and happiness, accompanied by physically holding someone, preferably in one’s lap.

I

Ickle: [ik-ul[ 1. little 2. (noun). the condition of being strange and insignificant. Can also be used to call opposing team members tiny and strange.
Imekaunis: name which elves say when they see a beautiful elfmaiden.
Istariholic: a person who is addicted to wizards, not Istari.

J

Jab: the minion equivilant of poking
Jiffle: means to fidget!
Jowwie: Meaning: *Jump on a person*, they say “OW!”--you say “sowwie!"

K

Kirp: A word one would use to insult an Orc.

L

Lothendell Elf: An elf which travels back and forth between Rivendell and Lórien

M

Mawoosh!: The noise of Ally and Elle deleting spammers (so quickly and efficiently)
Mirkendell Elf: An elf which travels back and forth between Rivendell and Mirkwood.
Mooby: A person who suddenly does crazy things in threads.
Mumplyboo: (noun) an action of peculiarity, or one strange, funny, or unexpected. E.g: the funny looking elf committed a mumplyboo by tripping over a chair and dropping a cake on Ally’s head.
Mwef: ex- An exclamation of unwillingness to adhere to a given task or command, such as getting out of bed or not drinking that last miruvor.

N

Narf: one of those words that just goes to show one’s insanity...narf.
Nickep: an exclamation.
Niids: are noids that have passed through your digestive system
Nipsy: (Adj or noun.) Meaning - Particularly cold weather. (The snow was falling upon the ground, therefore the weather was nipsy. Meaning 2- A small portion of food.
Noid: when you try to bite someone’s elbow with cheese and mushrooms in your mouth while riding a striped moose, at someone who calls you a duck while riding a bouncing tiger.
Noidles: (done to people who lurk in chats) See Noid
Numble: (adv.) An elvish attempt to be humble, while not at all being so in the first place, seeing as elves never are, nor should be!
Nuzzle: it means to rub your nose on someone’s neck.
Nyah: the sound made by this more or less, sort of tauntingly.

O

Oddlook: [ud-luk] 1. n. The look someone gives you after you say something, well, odd. Most likely characterized by the emote: O_o
Okiedokie: no problem, of course.

P

Patpat: a unique combination of poking and glomping at the same time, very deadly
Pie: 1. A dessert 2. Someone who "desserts" the plaza. As in "The Spammer became a pie after being reprimanded twice." also known as Strawberry Shortcakes.
Piffle: referring to witty, obscure and occasionally inane conversation.
Pisadear: Another way of saying disappear.
Poke: to extend your finger, or a stick, or any other object with an end of small area, and push it into someone/something 2. Way of saying something is bothering you. 3. Way of saying something is not quite right
Pretiful: Something or someone of exceptional beauty, such as the ethereal haunting beauty of the Elves.

Q

Qub: To hit with a large inflatable spiked club, most often used for people who think of you as the wrong gender. Also known as Cub.
Quibitt: meaning to act comically fast and happy.

R

Re-flouffement: the attempt of an elf to push all the flouff back into his/her head before it all disappears.
Roffle: the phonetic spelling of the pronunciation of the acronym. Laughing and snorting at the same time thus producing a roffle sound. Very typically elvish.
Rofl: (abr.) Roll on floor with laughter.

S

Schmelvish: (adv.) [derogatory form of elvish] word for the mock Sindarin language displayed by the Grey Company, and alas often mistaken for the real thing by mislead elves.
Sheddle: synonym for cuddle.
Shubble: something you do with your feet when, for instance, your horse has stepped on one of them...
Shwong: to mean an arrow or device misaimed, namely shot wrong.
Slortle: act comically slow and stupid.
Smlouder: a person who sings in the shower so loud that there family has to tell them to shut up!
Snaggle: A kind of a cheeky giggle, when you know you shouldn’t laugh, but can’t help it!
Sneeble: The sound a spammer makes when apologizing to the admin.
Sniggles: snickers and giggles
Snizzlewit: [sni-zul-wit] (adj.) The type of elf which eeps a lot. These are often the younger, less experienced in Rivendell.
Snoggle: (verb) a combination of huggle and snog (kiss); a way to show friendly or intimate affection for another.
Snoodle: used to describe something cute, as in "most girls think Legolas is a big snoodle"
Snurf: 1. (verb) [sn-ERF]- To snort and laugh at the same time, thus emitting an odd noise from the back of the throat. 2. (noun) - The sound produced from snurfing
Spammer hammer: Symbolized by , it is the weapon of an Admin while destroying spam.
Spannadrix {spanna-drix}: A collection of seriously dumb people who all represent a spanner in one way or the other (eg. head, legs, any body part)
Spicicacular: a cross between spicy and spectacular used as an adjective when happy or excited about something!
Spiffy: A word one would use to show that they think something is interesting or neat (cool).
Splendilaquent: (adj.) cool, splendid, awesome (noun) a person who does wonderful things on a regular bases.
Spork: a cross between a spoon and a fork.
Sporkaholic: One who is addicted to sporks
Squeazzle: Squealing and jumping/leaping at the same time
Squeeble: the sound made by someone after an admin tells them they were spamming. As in: "The spammer squeebled in terror."
Squiick: what the rulers do to spammers--squish them and kick them off the forum.
Swub: (SWUUB) (noun.) A Club with a sword attached. Also very useful for tenderizing chicken.

Toolongtotypes: (noun.) a delicious cookie introduced to Rivendell by Bril of China.

Womble: meaning to walk slowly or casually, to ponder.
Woot: a happy sound. When you have done something cool or great you give out a loud WOOT! Equivalent to a Hurrah or Yay!
Wubbies: welcome back
Wubble: This is you call of someone pretending to be insane, to get out of something.
