Isolated from the busiest parts of the valley, to the west of Elrond's
peaceful house lies the Gwaith i-Nestoer, a place of rest and
serenity. To the south you can see the hot springs and from there a
stream of clear water makes its way to the healers' house. From where
you stand, you only see the exterior, windows and balconies giving you
a glimpse of great libraries and stores of knowledge, and even an
office or two where healers, in their white frocks, are hard at work,
pouring over books or creating medicines. At the end of one of many
corridors you can vaguely discern a room with many beds upon which the
injured and ailed are reclined. Among them are wounded soldiers and
captains of the army. Healers and apprentices bustle between the beds,
each upon an individual errand yet all working in harmony and with
great skill to heal the wounded. Even though these halls must have
seen much suffering and pain, a feeling of calm and rest emanates from
the place, a manifestation of the elves' grace perhaps. The two great
oaken doors, adorned with carvings of healing herbs, flowers and
various flora beckon to you, inviting you to take a closer look inside.
