August 2nd-Our beloved Eru has given a lovely new feature to the plaza: Houses! We will be granted 2-3 kingdom houses where we can put kingdom activities, and today, Ally started a discussion to decide what we should use them for. Many suggestions have come, so far involving a house for parties, weddings and festivities, and a house for the guilds and army.

August 4th-Rivendell vs. Meduseld debate: The Ring: A mind of its own? Rivendell as opposition and Meduseld as proposition. It was a close match, almost ending with a tie, but at last Rivendell came home with the victory – 51-49!

August 11th-A website dedicated to our very own ruler Arlo Cúthalion for his hard work in Rivendell was presented to him, and can be found here:

-Rivendell vs. Minas Tirith debate: “Smeagol killed” Deagol because of the influence of the ring. Rivendell proposition and Minas Tirith opposition. It was a good match, and the Elves debated well, but in the end the outcome was Rivendell 45-55 Minas Tirith.

August 14th- Adab Maedol (House of Welcome) and the Army HHouse was granted to the kingdom by the plaza’s almighty Eru. In Adab Maedol most pubs and feasts of the kingdom will be placed, with Merl Moriestiel and Avahiliel as moderators. The Army House is moderated by Laebeth and Elnarsil, and serves the purpose of giving the soldiers a feel of how every-day Army-life perhaps would be like for the Elves.

August 15th-The 10th Elven Tribune was released, featuring among other things a great interview with Peeg uncensored!

August 17th-Hidden in the shadows of Lothlórien lies the hiding-place of “I noss Elvini”. This mafia-organization for the Eöl’s and Fëanor’s among the Elves was founded by Ally, and has given many Elves an enjoyable experience and the opportunity of advancing in the hierarchy of organized crime.

August 18th- The Elves fought with words in a debate against the Ents. The proposition was given by Fangorn and the opposition by Rivendell. Unfortunately, not all Elven members got the time to post, and Rivendell lost 36-64 to the Tree Shepherds.

- A shadow departs from Mordor as Uruloki steps down from Sauron. Ally gets used to having a body-less husband again while Morgorth (now called Sauron) Moves from Witchking to take up the Sauron position.

August 23rd-The 18th (pretty young for an Elf, isn’t it?) birthday of our very own ruler Alkthoniel was celebrated with a lot of cakes, congratulations, gifts and merriment in a great hall in the midst of Rivendell, lasting for three whole days.

August 25th-The winners of the newbie profile contest were announced: Tinw in first place, Nurbor Calad in second, and Galadhvaliel in third place!

-The Debate between the White Council and Rivendell started with the topic being: “The hobbits’ second day in the House of Tom Bombadil was planned and not merely the rainy conditions.” Proposition: Rivendell. Opposition: The White Council.

August 28th-Being the ever opponents and enemies of the Elves, the happenings within the evil royalty does concern Rivendell to some degree…especially when a successor to The Black Throne was a former Elf named Winddancer!

August 29th-Rivendell vs. Khazad-dûm debate: The execution of Eöl was justified. Khazad-dûm as proposition and Rivendell as opposition.

August 30th-Although not concerning Rivendell personally, the Dwarven Queen Loki resigned from her position as a ruler of Khazad-dûm just to be promoted to Aulë. Annolori the Dwarf took her place as Balin son of Fundin!
