December 3rd - Lothlórien kingdom opened; Laebeth officially assumes Glorfindel ruler position. Rivendell mourns its loss of elves, but gladly welcomed Lae as the new ruler to rule with Arlo

December 5th - Survivor Middle Earth #5 thread is opened. In the Immunity Challenge, the Cemen tribe defeated the Menel tribe in a close race. Menel had previously won the reward challenge, but, alas! They could not string together a pair of victories and off to tribal council they went!

December 6th - Caption Contests are reopened, with Arlo, Laebeth and Lilu Pereldar as judges. The insane madness of Rivvy elves poking fun at scenes from the movies once again became the norm
-Elven Tribune Renaming contest is open. With both an Imladris and a Lothlórien kingdom open, Imladris could not be held accountable for a newsletter for both kingdoms, now could it?

December 8th - Firerose begins the Rivendell Actor's Club. Created to serve the acting talents of Rivendell elves, the Actor's Club's first performance was to be the Council of Elrond scene. Of course, being run by Firerose, the Actor's Club, even in the sign-up stage was nothing short of perfect.
- The Imladris Army Anthem contest is opened. The contest was desinged to give all elves, even non-army members a chance to participate by designing an anthem for the Imladris Anthem. Winners have yet to be announced.
- The Imladris Heraldry Contest is open, giving all races a chance to design a coat-of-arms of Imladris. Who knew there were so many technicalities involved - or that it could be so fun?

December 11th - Us Elves in Imladris, or UEII, is opened. A totally IC thread, this offer Imladris Elves the chance to build their characters and to interact with other elves. This UEII took place at the Fords of Brunien, in the snow, in the appropriate winter spirit

December 14th - Support Program announced by ERU. The program allows those financially able to donate a small amount of money to ensure the Plaza's well-being after the predicted decline in interest after RotK. - Thanks to Balmung for the date

December 15th - Quest for the Silmaril RPG reaches Moria. The Dwarves joined the Elves at the Lonely Mountain and helped them to defeat the minions that stood waiting nearby. Excellent work!
- Aint Rhiw, or Gift Giving is opened. In the spirit of the season, this activity let elves give rpg'd gifts to their fellow elves, one gift each to give and to recieve. It was a thread of much joy, run by Fir and Lae.

December 16th - Supreme Court of Rivendell is opened. "Charges brought before this court by Mordor against the Elves of Rivendell are as follows: Unlawful acquisition of dragon eggs from the Mordor Breeding Center, and unlawful acquisition of a baby dragon from the Mordor Breeding Center. The Court now asks that Rivendell enter a plea of guilty or not guilty so that the proceedings may begin."

December 17th - The Return of the King premiered in the US and in most European countries. The third of the trilogy, it is considered by many to be either stronger or weaker than the other two. The Kingdom Historian decrees it to be the best of the three.

December 18th - ERU announces the vote for the Support Membership program. This allows all Plaza member to have a fair chance to choose for themselves how they want the support program run.

December 21th - Andi announced that she would be leaving Imladris for Rohan. A long time member of Imladris, since she joined the Plaza, she will be sorely missed by her fellow elves. We in Imladris wish her the best of luck in Rohan, and hope that she knows she will always be welcome here.
- Mereth Rhiw, or the Winter Hall of Feast is opened, giving elves a chance to enjoy the season. With much fun and revelry, it is a loose RPG that seems to remind older eldar of the pubs of long ago...
- Mereth Rhiw, or the Hall of Fire is opened. The Hall gives elves who aren't members of any guild a chance to share poetry, artwork or short stories. The hall filled up fast and a wonderful time was had by all.
- The Council of Elrond is opened. This thread is created to take non-elven announcements away from the CoA, and is a place for all foreign-related announcements and house activity announcements. Similar threads have been placed in other kingdoms.
- Dol Guldor game begins. It is a fight between good and evil run by Lilu Pereldar, and it is one of the most popular games/threads in Rivvy, as since evil had a high chance of winning, numerous elves took to the challenge of defeating it.

December 26th - Lae announces a job search for two qualified editors for the Tribune. Hoping to shake the editor curse, the tribune will now have two editors instead of one. Job requirements include html knowledge, past experience writing articles, and time committment. Which means the Kingdom Historian is only partially qualified for the job. Feh.

December 28th - FireroseBoudica, known as Firerose or Fir, Kingdom Historian of Imladris, had her one year Plaza anniversary. All of Rivendell *ahem* rejoiced in this *ahem* historic event....

December 30th - Firerose launches the 3rd Imladris Census Survey, which allow Imladris elves and ex-Imladris R/A's to answer questions about the Plaza, their characters and lastly their real life.
