January 1st - Three SCRs are awarded this month - Tas gets Erestor, Elanessë becomes Círdan, and Ancalima* receives Gil-Galad. Congratulations to all three!

January 8th - Signups for a Combat Tournament are opened, with the eventual aim of choosing a team of four elves to represent Imladris in the IK Tournament!

January 11th - The Rivendell Cheetah Race ends, with lclaulau and her cheetah Anwar declared the winners, having finished on a huge +18 spaces!

January 16th - The Fall of Gondolin RPG is announced, to the excitement of all! The book characters are snapped up by the Riv elves in less than five hours, leaving plenty of time for discussion of which House to join, what to name one's character, and plenty of recruiting by the heads of each House!

January 18th - After a hard-fought competition, Eragorn wins the Archery Contest by six points, beating Laifana and Rinerion in joint second place, and Anarie in third.

January 18th - Imladris sees a return of its market thread, named Bangad Imladris (Rivendell Trading)! Featured this time are beautiful carved animals, food, all sorts of leather items, candleholders and quills!

January 19th - The Rivendell round of the IK Archery Tournament begins in Imladris, modded by Éile of Rohan.

January 24th - The Hall of Gathering is opened, as an IC thread for visitors to Imladris to meet, eat and socialise with the elves of the Valley. There's nice food there!

January 28th - In anticipation of the Fall of Gondolin RPG (which was, at this point, a mere four days away!), a Gondolin Trivia Game is opened by the Rulers to improve peoples' knowledge of the story and to have a bit of fun!
