<< Listing of Imladris Elves

May 1st - Once again the Elves of Imladris gather to celebrate and honour four of their number for their contributions to the kingdom - Diava (Celebrían), Isilindil (Erestor), Eliendriel (Elrohir) and Morfindel (Gildor).

May 2nd - After much discussion and careful deliberation, Serveanthesia is announced as Ruiniel's successor, one of the two Librarians in charge of keeping Imladris' famous library working, accurate and ever-growing.

May 6th - The Wandering Company of Ethuil leaves Imladris for its yearly visit to Woodhall, in the Shire - this year Lords Elrond and Glorfindel both are accompanying the group on their journey! At the same time, cries of "Fire!" are heard throughout the Last Homely House - as the elves race to extinguish the flames, a chase across the Valley is begun to catch the arsonist and her sidekick.

May 8th - As if there wasn't enough fighting to be had against orcs, trolls and other creatures, Arlo today announces that sign-ups are open for a Battle Tournament amongst the Rivendell elves. One hopes that they won't be battles to the death, but then...you never know, with Arlo!

May 9th - A new craze is sweeping Imladris - the Amarth in-Edhil boardgame (created by Taramiluiel) is unveiled, and places around the table for the first game are filled in record time!

May 13th - A Friday, and an unlucky day, by the reckoning of Men...and so it proved for the elves today! Lord Glorfindel found himself without clean robes and was reduced to wearing a towel to breakfast, Lord Elrond looked suspiciously puffy-eyed all day long, and the normally graceful elves found themselves tripping, falling and dropping things all over the place!

May 13th - After the success of Project Imladris, which aimed to accurately map the whole of the valley, a new project is begun - this time concentrating on the Elves of Arda. This project will collect all that is known and remembered of the different tribes, families and groups of Elves and see it organised, recorded and made available in the Library for all who are interested.

May 16th - Pathael and Ailaya are declared the winners of the first Amarth in-Edhil game, while elsewhere fourteen elves embark on a cunning plan to confuse absolutely everyone by each impersonating one of the others, even to the point of using each others' name!

May 17th - The fires of Tingdain, the great Forge of Imladris, are today relit by Cumehtar, and the doors opened to all who wish to become apprentices and learn the trade of smithying.

May 18th - The results of Eragorn's Short Story Contest are announced - congratulations to Soronúmë in first place, Dinledhwen in second, Stouty the hobbit in third, and well done to all who entered!

May 22nd - The end of an era - Laebeth announces that she is resigning as 1st General of the Host of Imladris and as Ruler of Imladris, and is sailing West to join the Valar in Valinor. She will be missed greatly by all. Meanwhile, Lilu Olnathron is promoted to the rank of 1st General.

May 23rd - No era can end without another beginning, and the elves of Rivendell are delighted to hear that their new Ruler is to be Tinw! All are watching with interest to see how she and Tara will make life in the Valley even better and more fun than ever! The May Last Homely Herald was also released today, this month featuring an interview with Saranna and memories from some of the older elves about the "good old days", along with many other interesting articles.

May 24th - Ennyn Laer, the first day of summer is celebrated in the traditional way, with the night of silence and reflection spent in the mountains, followed by singing and celebration at dawn, welcoming summer and bidding goodbye to the harshness of winter.
