October 3rd - The 8th issue of the Last Homely Herald is released...this month featuring an interview with Eru and chicken jokes!

October 4th - The second Plaza Olympics are announced - hosted in Mordor, and involving such...interesting competitions as bungee-jumping off Mount Doom and Hoppit Darts, Rivendell elves nevertheless start falling over each other to sign up!

October 19th - The "Let us talk about it" thread is opened by the Rulers to give Rivendell elves a chance to discuss the kingdom and any changes they might like to see.

October 23rd - 25 crazy inhabitants of Middle Earth queue up to die in the Necromancer's Fortress, opened once again by Lilu. May their souls rest in peace...

October 24th - Gwaith i-Nestoer, the House of Healing, is started in Rivendell! Interest is so overwhelming that spaces on the first two courses fill in less than ten hours!

October 24th - Tinw opens a Newbie Training RPG to give young elves and New Souls the chance to practice their RPing skills. A scouting party is sent by Elrond to seek tidings about a rumoured evil in the land...

October 25th - Barad Eregion, an RPG thread where a group of elves travel to Ceber Eregion (Hollin Ridge) to rebuild the tower, starts. Some elves immediately start discussing the digging of moats, while others simply play around...and all the while, the threat of an orc attack hangs over the party's head! Anything could happen...

October 25th - Something you may remember from Rivendell's distant past - the Architecture Guild is re-opened under the care of Master Sculptor Ruiniel, Master Gardener PDCML and Master Engineer Eliswathe, conveniently just in time to supply architects for the journey to Ceber Eregion!

October 31st - Probably the most fun day of the year on the Plaza arrives - Hallowe'en! This year, Rivendell went for a Pirates of the Caribbean theme, with Lae as Will Turner and Tara as Elizabeth Swan, the CofA renamed the Governor's Mansion and even a Sea Battle! SCRs are also awarded to Laivindil (Undead Captain Barbossa) and Tinindil (Undead Jack the Monkey) - congratulations to them both!
