Disclaimer “Project Elves” is meant as a resource for anyone and everyone who may be interested in the Elves and mythological world of J. R. R. Tolkien. For role-players, who play Elves, these articles will hopefully make it easier to create characters with depth and who have been based upon canon. This project has come together through the joint effort of volunteering members of the Lord of the Rings Fanatics Plaza. Tolkien’s books were searched thoroughly for facts about the different topics, and after research file had been gathered, the articles were written by volunteers. The articles have been written as if there were the work was true Elves. This was done in order to make the project unique and set it apart from any other projects on the Web. Whether we have been successful or not must be up to the individual reader - we all have different visions of the Elves and our ways of bringing them alive are not always the same. Due to this special way of writing the articles, the sources for the quotes are listed at the bottom of the article. In some cases, if you find them to be less accurate than you would wish for, please take a look at the research page, where more exact information is given next to the quotes. It is our hope that the final results of a project can be enjoyed by people all over the world. While the lore in the articles has been doubled checked in most cases, there may still be mistakes. That is why we have included a research file in each of the articles, were the original quotes the article was based upon can be found. However, if you find a mistake that needs to be corrected, please visit the chamber of audience in that Imladris forum on Lord of the Rings Fanatics Plaza.
