Army of Imladris ~ Also known as the Host of Imladris, this is where members gather to roleplay being a warrior, train, join regiments ~ the Beriadrim (Defenders) and Othrim (Warriors) ~ and most importantly have fun! Members from all kingdoms and of any rank can join the Army, as long as their allegiance is to Rivendell. Sign up in the Generals' Office in the Army House today!

Bangad Imladris ~ Imladris Trading ~ Every so often, we have a market-day in the courtyard! If you're a member of Imladris, you can sign up for a booth to display your wares. We barter instead of using money, so customers should bring something you can offer in exchange! Go here to learn more.

Bards and Writers Guild ~ A guild where people can share poetry and weave tales, explore the history of Arda, and enjoy the company of creative spirits. The guild is has an IC thread in the kingdom where you can share your creative writing, and also hosts contests, challenges, and games. Visit their house Govannas in Glirdain to be a part of this community!

Cairdh Ennorath ~ Foreign Events ~ Want to know what's going on in other kingdoms? Here you'll find announcements for games and activities held in other parts of the Plaza.

Caption Contest ~ In this fun thread, you are provided with a funny picture of a Middle-earth character, and are asked to create a caption for it. The first post explains all. Only Imladris Elves, Rulers, and Admins are allowed to submit captions.

Chamber of Audience (CofA) ~ This is the place to go when you have a new idea for the kingdom, or have an announcement to make. The rulers always check this thread, so if you need to address the rulers or have an announcement for everyone to see, this is the place to go!

Debate Team ~ The Debate team competes against teams from other kingdoms in debates about Tolkien topics, so if you know your Tolkien and like to debate, come join the fun! Visit the Debate team house, Thaim Athrabeth, for more information or to join the team!

Drill Team ~ The Keepers of Lore are the kingdom's Drill team. They compete against other kingdoms in a 9-week tournament, followed by a Playoff Championship series! In Drill Competitions, lore questions are asked of each side with a deadline for answering and a chance to steal if your opponent gets theirs wrong. Visit the Drill Team house, Thaim Ist, for more information and to join the team!

Edenidhrinn and Enedhoer Festivals ~ The Elven New Year falls on March 28th, the "Middle Days" at the end of Fall. We celebrate both of these holidays with fun competitions, everything from barrel racing and archery to poetry and lore contests, and invite visitors from all over Middle-earth to compete!

Elven Artists Association (EAA) ~ This is where people of all races are able to show off their original artwork. Each thread is opened with a theme for inspiration, but you can post any of your work there. At the end of the month, members vote for the Artist of the Month!

Feasts ~ Come "hang out", Middle-earth style! The Feasts are a great place to get to know people in-character, in a casual environment. A new Feast is opened once the last one reaches 100 posts, so you'll never have to look far for the current thread!

Forge of Imladris ~ The Tingdain, or Metalsmiths, create custom weapons and armor upon request, do blacksmithing, and even craft jewelry for you ~ if you have something of value to offer in trade! Join the Tingdain to learn this craft, roleplay using the Forge yourself, or come in with a request!

Gwaith i-Nestoer ~ The Healers run Adab Nestad, the Healing House, where you can roleplay situations involving healing wounded adventurers or minor injuries. They also hold Healing classes for all the peoples of Middle-earth every second month. Visit their Kingdom House to find out more and to join the organization!

Hall of Unfinished Business ~ An occasional duelling thread where members of all races may come to roleplay one-on-one combat with others. Challenges may be made to the death, to first blood, to the yield, or any other terms they choose. Once these terms are set, you have 10 posts to settle the matter. This activity is recurring ~ it will open for a while and then go on hiatus for a while.

Imladris Military Academy (IMA) ~ The IMA opens its doors to the more experienced warriors, who wish to be trained in stealth, sabotage and navigation. Once passed, the graduates have a chance to be selected for the elite guard of the Host. Go to the IMA House for more information.

The past issues of the Herald can be read here.

Library of Imladris ~ Members of Rivendell can have their creative writing added to the kingdom pages as a book in the Library, and all plaza members are welcome to submit a nonfiction, Middle-earth lore piece. Two Librarians take care of the books in a kingdom thread, where you can roleplay your character! Come read the books in the Library, and write one of your own!

This is a great way to share your love of Tolkien and Verse and get to know your teammates! Look for their kingdom thread to join!

Project Imladris ~ More than a year in the making, Project Imladris is the Rivendell described in Tolkien's writings merged with the online kingdom we've created here on the Plaza. It's presented as a clickable map of the Valley and of the Last Homely House, with locations described in detail, huge in scope, great to read ~ take a look! It's a great way to get Imladris laid out in your head!

Racing Team ~ Race your favorite cheetah against squizzles, badgers, and other plaza critters in the fun Inter-Kingdom races! Seasons of nine or ten weeks are followed by a break of a few months before it all starts again ~ look for the Racing Booth in the kingdom forum to join!

Roleplay Training ~ If you're new to roleplay and want to pick up some basic skills, or if you're more experienced and would like some constructive criticism to help you improve, then this is for you! It applies to all sorts of RP situations, so don't worry if your character isn't the fighting sort. It's open to all members of the kingdom, and is also a requirement for joining the Host if you don't have previous RP experience.

RPGs (Role Playing Games) ~ These are adventures, quests, and missions. A GM (game master) creates a plot and guides the players through various events, obstacles, problems, battles, etc. There are Army RPGs, in which only army members are allowed to participate, but the rest are free for anyone to join unless otherwise stated. It's very important to read the rules and instructions in the first post. If you're new to RPing, don't panic! There are some tips here and also here!

Sindarin, language of the elves ~ One of the two languages developed enough by Tolkien to be actually spoken, Sindarin can now be learned here in Imladris! The Sindarin Page has grammar lessons, helpful tools, phrases for RPGs for those who don't want to learn the whole language, and links to more helpful resources for learning this amazing language!

Siniath ~ The kingdom's mail thread is an in-character place for you to send letters to any Elf of Imladris and receive letters from any plaza member! You can develop your character, and keep in touch with friends.

Upcoming tours are announced in the Chamber of Audience, with three possible destinations. Members vote for the tour they would most like to go on, and then the fun begins!
