Tribute Guidelines

Who needs to send in tribute lists?
Anyone who heads an organization (Host, BWG, Herald, EAA, Library, Forge, Nestoer, Towers) runs a contest or RPG, or captains a kingdom team in Imladris should send in a tribute list to the rulers at Imladris@lotrplaza.com

When do the tribute lists need to be sent in?
Tribute is done every two weeks. We need the lists by Tuesdays in order to be able to do the tribute on Thursdays. A reminder is posted in the Chamber of Audience on the Sunday before tribute lists are needed.

Who should you include on the list?
Everyone who has been actively participating in your organization or thread during the past two weeks. This does not include someone who has only posted once or twice, or who has gone absent. We want to reward the kind of participation that keeps a game fun or an RPG interesting, enhancing the Kingdom for everyone.

How much tribute should people get?
In an effort to be consistent and fair, we have prepared the following guidelines for the heads of those organizations and threads that get tribute. You will note that there is leeway for a larger tribute to be given for outstanding contributions. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you feel this is deserved.

Host:
~ Soldiers: 3-7 for active participation (in houses, classes, activities, coming up with suggestions)

Healers:
~ Teachers: 7 points
~ Healers treating patients in Adab Nestad: 3-5 points
~ Promotions: 5 points

The Forge:
~ Apprentices/smiths: 3-5 points for serving others (working on orders, answering questions)

Bards & Writers Guild:
~ 5-10 points for creative contributions in the various BWG activities, depending on quantity/quality.
~ 3-5 additional points for other kinds of help and participation (reviews, ideas, helping with activities, house discussions, roleplay, etc)

Elven Artists Association:
~ Creative Contributions: 5-10 depending on quality/quantity.
~ Artist of the month: 10 extra

Library:
~ Creative submissions: 5-10 depending on quantity/quality
~ Lore submissions: 5-15 (15 for extremely in-depth research/work)
~ Assistance in Coding: 10 points

Herald:
~ Submissions: 5 each (up to 10 if it's in-depth or spectacular)

Helping Newbies:
~ Helpful participation: 3-5 points

RPGs:
~ Participants: 3-7 points, depending on quality/quantity/effort

Drill, Poetry, Debate Teams:
~ 5-10 depending on level of activity (in competitions, training, practice, ideas)
~ promotions: 5
~ 10 for debate team competition posts

Inter-Kingdom Game Teams:
~ Match Participants: 5 points (incl. Races, Pelennor Pigskin, and Word Sleuth)

Kingdom Games/Activities:
~ Towers of No Return: 7 for gatekeepers
~ Caption Contest: Judges: 5 points; Winners: 7 points

RP Training:
~ 10 points for completing training

Games and loose RP threads:
~ No tribute awarded (the points you get for posting are reward enough!)

How should I write the list up?
In order to save us from hours of reformatting, we would greatly appreciate it if all the lists were in the same format. Here's an example:

~ Please remember to provide the ID number of any non-Imladris member (in parentheses) as shown above.
~ If you know a person has recently changed their name, please put their previous name in parentheses.
~ Please be careful to include any accents, and to spell the names properly.
~ Feel free to include any notation on what they did to earn tribute!
~ Remember to include yourself on the list; you've definitely earned it! We can fill in the amount.
~ If someone hasn't been active, please don't list them for tribute, or give them less. We want this to be fair.
