Breaking News....
Something is Blossoming...

Over thirty-five Fangorn residents, both old and new, have been given the gift of being honored with the Orders of Fangorn from their rulers, Thom and Lillyth. Given for contributions both in the kingdom and out with three different levels of seniority - the Min, the Tâd and the Neled - the Orders gave a chance for every active member of Fangorn to be recognized and thanked for the work they've done. The first, the Order of the Olvar, was awarded to twenty different Fangorians to acknowledge the work they put into coming up with creative ideas and running threads in the kingdom. The Order of the Onodrim, awarded to twenty-six members, was given for actively participating in Fangorn's threads. The last, the Order of the Kementari, was awarded for contributions outside of Fangorn. Thirty Fangorn residents had the honor of receiving it and being recognized as a good ambassador for the kingdom. Whether one received one Min Order or three Neleds, the contributions made were equally appreciated, recognized, and applauded. Keep it up, Fangorn!

Elsewhere in the Forest....
Happy Birthday, Fangorn!
On September 8th, Fangorn reached its fifth anniversary of becoming a kingdom on the plaza, and many activities were opened to celebrate. Much silliness ensued. In Entish Whispers, it was discovered that Fangorn's residents and visitors are very inquisitive - all in all, 900 questions were asked and answered! Meanwhile, Pass the Parcel found the likeability of many of Fangorn's familiar faces tested as they were pitted against each other in a game of character survival. Surprisingly, Treebeard was eliminated first, with Morwen victorious. Cream the Clown let players throw pies at clowns and a few famous faces while Do You Dare To ENTer “Birthday Cake”? tested the resolve and wit of its challengers. On the darker side of the forest, an Easterling was declared Fangorn's Champion after arguing against Fangorn being the best kingdom - the same Easterling also ran Aha Ungol, where contestants attempted to throw knives at various body parts. The last but tastiest activity of them all, Bake a Cake, gave many a chance to collaborate to decorate Fangorn's birthday cake. The results were interesting, to say the least:

Entchanting Students at Imloth Calen
For Fangorn's Birthday celebration Imloth Calen opened its gates to youngsters. By that I mean Entings and Huornlings. They are a delight to watch. The tallest, an Ent is barely up to my knees as he shepherds around the waddling little Huornlings that follow him like ducklings. One Cherry Blossom Enting Nim, had a courteous mother, who sent ahead Huornlings for her to shepherd in her training. Other bright Entings are Shingle, Pendula and Aniero. There is one Hournling of note that takes after her Valley Oak mother: Scarlet Leaf. She is as quick of mind as any Enting.

Another Return!
After a few months absence Fangorn's beloved Huorness, Oak Leaf has returned. It seems though she had awakened on the wrong side of the flowerbed. She seems to have her roots all in a twist. Perhaps this is due to the still mending Orc arrow wounds in her backside or her less than satisfying sleep under the shadow of the evil Goldie. At any rate, she had returned a little wilder, a little leafier and with a new sidekick, Wapiti. The Misty Mountains Elk will be squeezing into places the Huorn will not fit.

The Light Has Returned!

After a daring rescue, Fimbrethil has returned safely to the forest after being kept in the Brown Lands against her will by Eöl the Dark Elf and Goldie, Fangorn's most evil Huorness. Though many set out to follow the clues and find her, only one succeeded - one brave Laurieanna, who never gave up and brought about the return of the light when she escorted Fimbrethil home.

Upon her arrival, the Lady Fimbrethil kicked out Eöl most ceremoniously and saw to it that neither he nor Goldie would ever be coming back. Fangorn's inner evil darkness was driven back, and with Treebeard now returned safely as well, the light is once again shining in the forest.

For now, at least.

The Streak that didn't end!
Following a final decisive battle between Lillyth of the Forest, and Idesinholde of Mordor, our Battle Arena Arda Cup Squad, lead capably by Elendil and Aisil, has stomped home to a record victory in the Second Arda Cup!

Congratulations to our Gold Medal Winning Squad!!

Kingdom Page Updates!
I'm overjoyed to report that numerous small updates have been made across the KPs by the Laydee Lilly, while Master Thom has been working hard at decorating my new home - Beaky's Guide to Fangorn! - which is going to hopefully grow in the weeks to come - oh and a new sidebar has been developed for the main KPs, and will go live when these pages do!

New Threadrunners!
I'm pleased to report that Fangorn has seen a few new threadrunners - with Tarin taking on both the IK Racing Captain, and the assistance for Rooting Out the Thieves, and Nav becoming our other new IK Racing Captain!

The Forest Mysteries has a new thread head as well: Tele will be our new Riddle Mistress, and also co-captain of Our newly formed IK Word Sleuth Team, together with Catiri.

Last but not least we have a new thread head for the Mockingbird Mail. Fangorn's new post master will be Region.

Congratulations to all of you, and have fun with your new positions!

Another Victory!
Yes, it seems to be a winning streak for Fangorn at the moment, with now our courageous Squizzles snatching the IK Racing League trophy away from underneath the grasp of the other kingdoms. Congratulations not only to our team, but to the outgoing Captains, Munchikinka and Region!

Congratulations to our League-Winning
Debate Team!
Isn't it just amazing, when after a hard fought series of debates, you come away with the League trophy? Well that's definately the feeling being felt by our prize winning debate team - congratulations to all of you, and your prize is displayed for all to see;

The Leaves of Fangorn?
Sitting as I do, upon the hill which is the Archive of Fangorn; I observe many things which take place within the forest, and I record all of them (well as many as I can) unhastily into the Forest's Archives.

Over the last couple of months, I have managed to observe Treebeard and Fimbrethil muttering and whispering in darkened corners, and they seem to have been working on increasing the records relating to individual residents of the forest.

These many leaves of wood, have been stored on the following shelves;

We've got it back!
As we were just informed, the famous Plunger of Wellinghall was returned early in the morning by an unidentified person. The plunger had been stolen a month ago by equally unknown thieves, and was about to be ransomed back to Treebeard. Rumours take it that a certain Sprucebark Crappersmith was involved in the incident, along with his accomplice, the notorious fence Blackleaf "Fingers" Steelroot. No evidence for their guilt could be found however. Now the Plunger was returned in a sneaky cloak-and-dagger operation. No traces of the responsible persons could be found.
