These are the special ranks that are awarded monthly by the rulers of our kingdoms. The number and types of SCRs vary from month to month. They are given for outstanding work in any field of the kingdom and the requirements have always been based on the need for people to be active and to take part and enjoy their time in the forest. Orginally the purposes of SCRs were described by Mo and his words can be read below;

Dimhold & Old Man Willow
Dimhold comes from Dimholt. The name means "Dark Wood". To travel from Dunharrow to the Paths of the Dead (as Aragorn and his companions did) one would have to pass through the deep, pine and fir-tree forest of Dimholt.
Old Man Willow is as we all know the rather troublesome Hourn to be found in the Old Forest under the eyes of Tom Bombadil...

Finglas & Region
Finglas also known as Leaflock was one of the three Ents who walked in the woods before the Darkness of Sauron. By the time of the War of the Ring, he had "grown sleepy almost tree-ish... he has taken to standing by himself half asleep all through the summer...Covered with leafy hair." Treebeard, The Two Towers.
When Finglas became a Ruler rank, the rank of Region was given out instead. Region is the forest on the banks of the River Esgalduin that formed the southern and greater part of Doriath.
