• We will be able to move many of the RPGs, Parties, Weddings and other less serious stuff to the Houses. In these houses the threads can develop simular to like they used to on the general forum. But in this case they are under the care of the House Owners and no longer the admins or rulers.
• High ranking members can now start their own houses and by doing so govern their own part of the Plaza. They can use their house in any way they see fit. They can start a Pub, a Wedding Chapel, a Hotel, etc. Only their own imaginations are the limit. Within their house they can change the content of the rooms of the Houses and even how their house looks.
• With other high ranking members governing the Houses and what happens in them, the Rulers and Administrators will have more time to focus on the general forum and keeping them clean. In short we have added another layer of management. The chain of command now goes: Eru - Admins - Rulers - House Owners - Members.

• You need to be Plaza member for more than 30 days
• You need to have at least a Level 10 Rank. In practice this will mean that you will need at least 4000 Fanatics Points.

• Default Image: the default image for how this House looks. As a house owner you can change this image.
• House Type: the type of House
• The number of People it can House: indicates the number of Plaza members who can join your Household
• #Rooms: the number of Rooms the house has. Each house always has a Living Room which is the room where all discussions take place. Extra rooms are webpages that can be used freely by the Home Owners.
• #Threads: the number of threads of discussions that can be held in the house. Once the maximum is reached the house owners will have to delete older threads to make room for new ones.
• House Costs: Plaza Houses costs Plaza Credits, the amount mentioned will be subtracted from your total once you purchase a Plaza house.

The only way a member can take control of a kingdom house is for a member to take part in a project that requires such a house and for their rulers to ask them to be a caretaker for one of these large houses. The rulers will then be taking a close look at what is in the house, and you will only be allowed to have what is relevant to the project you are helping with. As the name suggests kingdom houses are for whole kingdoms not just a member and their friends.

• House Name: you can change the name of your House into anything you like. Mike's Castle, Prancing Pony, etc. Be creative.
• Owner IDs: any Plaza House can have upto two owners. Once you have bought a house you can enter the Member ID of the second owner. Make sure you never remove your own Member ID or you will lose access to your House Management! If you plan to give your House to someone else then simply enter his/her Member ID and you are done.
• Location: You can choose a location for your Plaza House. You have two options: you can either Plaza it inside a Plaza Kingdom by selecting that Kingdom from the selection box or you can enter any location you like by entering the name of the location of your choice. Having your house inside your own Kingdom has some benefits (discussed later) but if you want you are free to setup your house outside the regular kingdoms in other locations of Middle-earth. If your House is located in a Kingdom then the Rulers of that kingdom will have access to your House and admin rights to functions like re-naming topics, editing posts and deleting topics and posts. Plaza Administrators have access to all Plaza Houses independant of their location. This to make sure that what happens inside the Houses does not break the general Plaza Policies.
• House Image: you can override the default image of your house by entering the URL of a replacing image. this image has to be 150x150 pixels. If you have no webspace of your own then you could ask your Rulers to upload a picture for you onto our webserver.
• Welcome Message: people who enter your House will always enter the Living Room first. There they will be welcomed by your Welcome Message. You can use it to explain about your House, what it is about and what the policies are for visitors. You can use HTML to add pictures to your welcome message or to decorate your text or layout.

• Number of Rooms: depending of the type of House your purchased you have upto 7 extra rooms. Rooms are basically webpages that you can fill with what ever you like.
• Room Name: you can your room it's own name for instance: the wine cellar, the armoury, the picture hall, etc. Again use your own creativity.
• Room Content: you can enter text or HTML so you can use text, images or even movies. If you are unfamiliar with HTML then follow one of the many basic courses. You should soon be able to make nice rooms with nice images and a good layout. A good HTML basics course: HTML Pageresource
• Warning: you can only update one room at a time so make sure to work on one room and click on the update button before working on another room.

• You can only invite people into your Household who are not already part of three Households. Every Plaza member can only be part of three Households. So if you own a house and have joined three other Houses, you will not be able to join another house untill you sell or leave the House(s) that you are currently in.
• To invite a person enter their Member ID and press the invite button. If the member is not already in three Households and has an active member account then the invitation will be sent. At the bottom of the screen you will see the list of invitations you sent out and their status. If you change your mind then you can retract/delete an invitation. In this way you can also delete the invitations to which people have already responded. Make sure not to spam a person by sending multiple invitations! In fact: it is better to make sure that the person you are going to invite has already agreed to your proposal either on the Plaza forums, or in a House or through email/msn.

• In your household screen you will see a list of the people who are members of your Household and their status. House owners will have the word 'owner' behind their name. You can remove anybody from your house who is not an co-owner of your House by simply clicking the kick out link.

• Number of Topics: the number of concurrent topics in the House is limited and depends on the size of the house. Unlike the general forums where there can be unlimited number of forums, the house topics are restricted to save on server capacity. If your house has reached its maximum capacity of topics then a topic will have to be deleted to make room for a new one.
• Opening a New Topic: only members of the Household are able to open new Topics in a House. This to keep guests from flooding the House discussions.
• Restricted Topics: the topics in the general forum are open to all to enter and write messages in. In a House, the House Owners (not all Household members) are able to restrict access to the topics in their House. There are three levels which are indicated by an icon infront of the topic title:
  
  

  	Open for All: the default setting. This means that like in the general forums all people are able to view the messages in the topic and add messages to the topic
  	Kingdom members only: If the House is located inside a Plaza kingdom then using this setting will only allow people from that kingdom to read and post in this topic.
  	Household members only: This setting will only allow reading and writing rights to Household members. This setting can be used to keep other people from reading private house discussions.

  House owners can set restrictions on threads by clicking on the T-icon next to the topic title. This will bring up a popup that enables them to rename a topic but also to set its restrictions.
• House Owner have admin rights within their own house. They can delete topics and edit and delete posts within their house.
• It is the responsibility of the House Owners and their household to make sure that members behave themselves in their houses. They are free to do what ever they want with their house as long as it does not break the general Plaza policies concerning explicit content. Child Safety remains the Plaza number one rule. Breaking these general policies will result in loss of the House and suspension of the House owners and responsible Household members. Do not abuse your freedom!
• Plaza Administrators can access all Houses and perform all possible Administrator actions. Rulers have the same rights for all Houses inside their own Kingdom.
