Imladris, tucked between sheer cliffs and forested slopes and thundering waterfalls, is a house of refuge for warriors, sages, artists, poets and storytellers. Join the Host of Imladris, train as an Elven warrior, and battle the foes of Middle-earth! Share not only your art, poetry, and stories, but the comradeship of your fellow writers and artists! Discuss legends with loremasters, or compete in our lore contests! Get swept up in our serious RPGs, where we live out the rich world of Tolkien’s Elves; or play in our lighthearted ones, where the madcap humor of our members will leave you laughing! Study and speak the beautiful Elven languages! Test your wits or lady luck in our games and contests! Find friends and socialize at feasts! There is something for every taste.

LOL Yes, Sil managed to bring another person over to this place... err... kingdom. I am really quite new to this whole thing, never RPed before, or even been on a forum this large. In fact, I have only ever been on two LotR forums since I joined the fandom of LotR; those two were relatively small, and quite laid back, and nowhere near the likes of this one. Please excuse my ignorance as I try to find out all the information and requirements that I can.
 
Yeah, let's not get into the technicalities of how I am her little twin sister and not be related and all of that. I have a saying, which in a way comes into play here: "Yes, technically it would. That is, if we were ones for technicality." Which we aren't, so we don't have to go there! beam
 
Alright, introductions! Hi, as you can already see my name is Mírainawen, but most of my friends call me Raina (though I still tell Sil I think it would be funny if someone called me Mír *snigger*). I love LotR (obviously), and my favourite elf is Elladan, hence the reason I am in Imladris.
 
Wait... no, the reason I am in Imladris is because Sil insists that I be here. I cannot be in any other kingdom. I had barely registered and she was telling me I was going to be in Rivendell. *laughs* No worries, though! I would have come to Rivendell anyway, because I do so love its scenery and the nice elves there and all.
 
I am a fairly young writer, but I have been in the fanfiction world for several years now. I would read here and there, but it wasn't until about a year ago that I actually began to enter that strange world, and begin to write.
 
Alright, well... I think that is it for now. I really hate this whole introduction thing, I never really know what to say!
 
I am happy to be here, but at the same time a little nervous! Thanks for the warm welcome, and I look forward to getting to know some of you wonderful people!!

we might not look like elves right now - but it is only for the duration of Halloween (aproximately 3 weeks), so once the scary icons are gone, you will be able to enjoy the flowerly icons  ^^

don't worry about not having experience - we all were newbies once and we all still learn as we come here every day :) so all you need to do is pick something you find interesting and jump right in and if you have questions, just ask them away, and people would be more than happy to answer them and guide you around!
