Topic Closed>Resistance is futile! - Mordor recruitment

Post Reply Post Reply Page  <1 234

If you are a new minion to Mordor, then please report to the Newbie Spawning Pool if you have any questions in mind. We have a small population in Mordor so if you are active most of the time and contribute to the kingdom, you will be distinguished among the rest. Minions are also not cruel 24/7. We are quite friendly and do have a sense of humor...although sometime it is really twisted humour. We appreciate classy rp'ing and some really wicked creativity.

Silleh, I agree. It's the prettiest of them all - except perhaps Rank XV Fangorn. Since I am several thousand years away from that rank....

I kinda wish this rank was Black Numenorian. I will be tempted to take the promotion when it rolls around for the name, but I think as far as icons go, you should go straight to Nazgul. beam

Ah yes, alas it is true, there are some cuddly minions. They are the few, the unfortunate, the eaters of teddy bears. It's a distressing habit and one we don't like to talk about, you never know when the NSPTB may be listening.

Well, I'd say this looks like the right place but my not seeing to many fellow umm "new souls" is a bit scary. But at any rate, the road to this ahh...gathering of such happy and friendly minions? Was brought to my attention by Tisiphone so I would like to thank for doing so. I was a bit curious on finding some more info and how things work on the dark side of ME. So Ive been looking at the links provided, thanks agian, and just wondering in regards to the population stated early in the thread. With it not being hugely numbered, thats odd. I would have assumed there would be many who would love to join the ranks. It seems upon looking at the few links thus far Mordor has much to offer. What I have been curious about is how the actual Army works, there is a such thing as a training ground of some sort from what I have seen, which seemed rather enticing. But any details that I may be missing with anything with how the army, training, those kind of things just curious. And not sure if this would be the correct location for this question, but upon choosing your career path and having a rank (for example) of an Orc. But someone I guess wants to rp a troll or something. Is that making sense? Sorry. I mean is it like restricted to rp a rank that your not? I think that kind of sums up the question. Thanks to all in advance to whomever responds.

(and sorry, complelty off subject...but the super fantastic cookie monster picture totally won me over, big fan..hahaLOL)

Good to see you made your way over here! beam And don't worry about their not being too many new souls, it's just that they all saw how great Mordor is and replaced their candle with an eye. At least that's the story I'm sticking to *g*

Population wise I don't think we are too much smaller than some of the other Kingdoms, but it is a good size to be able to get to know everyone who posts reguarly.

The army is undergoing a makeover at the moment, so some of the specifics may change slightly. But at the moment you'll join at the Tower of Narchrost before being taken to the Training Ring where you'll be given basic training with both the sword and the bow. Once you start to rise up the ranks you can choose to join one of the divisions (The Blades or the Archers) and start to receive more specialised training as well as being given other tasks to complete, such as patrolling in the market. I've just started my training as a Snaga (the first rank) and it's a great thread to RP in, and one I'd definately recommend if you do eventually decide to join Mordor.

You don't have to RP your rank unless you'd like to. For example my rank is Wainrider, but the character I RP (Tisiphone) is a Black Numenorean, and another character I use is a Haradrim. It's completely up to you which race you'd like to RP, the only restriction is on Nazgul and Balrogs, for which you do need to be either rank 14 or 15.

Good to see the cookie monster worked LOL I hope that's answered your questions, but if I haven't made something clear or you have any more do let us know  =)

So thats what happened to those candles? gotchaSmile And thats cool with what you said about how the size is good to be able to get to know those whom post pretty reguarly. Thats always a good thing. It certainly seems to be how it is reading previous post to this forum, I love the way so many get a long and whatnot thats great, some pretty comical stuff at times.
You summed up what I was wondering about the army and training in Mordor. Even with this Makeover as you said, you explained the training ring and how you start off with the sword and bow. I find that to be such a great idea, seems really fun. So if i understand right, you basically go through this basic training, given a starting rank and as you post and train you can gain higher ranks? I just love the way that sounds, thats really neat.
Thanks for clearing up the rank question for me as well, that was exactly what I was wondering.

No problem *g*

For the army yes you do get different ranks. You'll start as a 'Snaga' when you enlist, and then move up to 'Dilhdan' once you've finished your basic training. You then keep moving up the ranks depending on how active you are at posting in the thread. It's a fun system ^^
