The story of Dacre

he one called Dacre was born to a poor family that lived in a small village in Ithilien. His father was a blacksmith by trade and earned a low income. His mother stayed at home and took care of him and his three younger siblings. As soon as he was old enough, Dacre was sent to the village school to be educated. His teachers soon found that he had a remarkable talent for learning and remembering things. As a result, he surpassed every other student in his school academically. By nature, he was very quiet and uncomfortable around other people. This attitude was both a blessing and a curse. He found by being silent and listening that he could learn a lot about the people around him. Unfortunately, his quiet personality also was a severe handicap socially. As a result, he had no close friends growing up. As he grew older, he withdrew even more into himself and focused increasingly on his studies in school, and he excelled.

fter finishing school, Dacre felt a strong desire to travel to other places in the world. He had left his village before, but never very far or for very long. He knew the places out there (having taken lessons in geography in school), and since he had completed his education, he decided he was ready to leave. He packed up his few belongings, said farewell to his family, and set off. Fortunately for him, he encountered very little danger in his travels. He was not much of a fighter, having received only a little training in the sword from his father. He did, however, know a lot about the making of weapons, though he knew next to nothing about wielding them. This came from having a blacksmith for a father. He knew that eventually someone would have to teach him how to fight, if he were to survive on his own in the world.

acre traveled for about three years, stopping for a while in each place he came to. He never ventured beyond human lands; he did not feel adequately prepared to visit the homes of other races, though he was desirous of doing so one day. After this extended period wandering around, he decided to try to find a more permanent home. His mind already set, he came to the White City of Minas Tirith, Capital of Gondor. There he is today. He is new to the White City , but is becoming more used to it by the minute. He still retains his love of learning, and has found interest in several areas, including the crafting of weapons, and the playing of music. Following his initial desire upon arriving in the city, he joined the Elite Rangers of Gondor, hoping one day to become an assassin. He thought that the solitary life of a Muinamacar would suit him very well.

hus ends Dacre's story. His is a simple life, but he looks forward to a future filled with limitless possibilities.
