The story of Imbealkar Tillirion
mbealkar was born and raised in Minas Tirith, by his
mother, Helena and Nimbalkar Tillirion. Before the birth of Imbealkar, his mother
was a maiden of the Citadel. His father was a Captain of the Rangers. Nimbalkar
was a valiant man, and was always there for Gondor. He helped protect Osgiliath,
destroy bands of orcs that would run through Gondor, and was even there for other
countries as well. When Rohan was having some trouble with the evil Istari, Saruman,
Nimbalkar helped them destroy the small raids there. For this, King Theoden gave
him a horse. Nimbalkar named Melbeleth, and later became a very big part in the
life of Imbealkar. Once Nimbalker rode back to Minas Tirith, the White City was
preparing for war. Nimbalkar arrived the day of the birth of Imbealkar. Once
Imbealkar was born, Nimbalkar gave Melbeleth to him as a gift. Nimbalkar kept
it in the stalls, where the young horse was trained by the finest Gondorian horsemasters.
he day after Imbealkar’s birth, Minas Tirith was under siege by the
minions of Mordor. Nimbalkar rallied his soldiers and rode out of the White
City alongside Prince Imrahil and the Knights of Dol Amroth. There he fought
the Battle of Pelennor Fields. Many fell under his blade, many trampled by
his horse. He fought bravely, and even witnessed the fall of Theoden, and the
fall of the WitchKing. When he saw the Banner of the King flowing in the wind,
he rallied his riders and charged through the ranks of the orcs that lie between
him and the company from the corsairs. Nimbalkar greeted Aragorn, who he knew
was the heir of Elendil, because he fought with the sword of the King, Narsil.
When the battle was won, Nimbalker was there for the Last Debate, alongside
every other Captain of the Rangers. When the plan was devised, Nimbalker rallied
the numbers left in his company. He even summoned reinforcements. There he
rode out to Morannon with the Captains of the West, and fought the Battle before
the Black Gate. He witnessed the fall of Barad Dur.
When he returned home, he was honoured and later retired from the Rangers.
He spent the free time he had to raise Imbealkar. During the years, he taught
Imbealkar how to fight on foot, using a sword. When he became a teenager, Imbe,
knew he wanted to become a Ranger. Nimbalkar encouraged this, and expected
highly of him. They continued training on the Fields of Pelennor. When he became
old enough, Imbe received his present, the full-grown horse, Melbeleth. Nimbalkar
taught him how to ride, and how to fight mounted on Melbeleth.
When Imbealkar was 15 years of age, he decided to join the Elite Ranger Corps.
He began as a trainee, and even had the honor to have his first training sessions
under the supervision of King Elessar. Imbealkar then wanted to follow the
footsteps of his father, and become a Roquen. After much training, Imbe finally
became a full Roquen. When he became a Full Roquen, Imbe gave a name to the
sword he used for much of his training. The bastard sword became known as "Camleth" through
the eyes of Imbealkar. The sword will now be an heirloom to his family.
long his journey as a Ranger, Imbealkar has made many friends. These include
Emus Trask, Azarnimir, and Aislynn Breanna. Imbealkar continues to ride on
his birth-gift, Melbeleth. The horse and the rider have became close and understand
each other greatly. Imbealkar has seen many things along his journey, from
battles in the sewers of Minas Tirith, to death sites of King Theoden and the
Witch King of Minas Morgul. Imbealkar continues to serve The White City, and
hopes to be as valiant as his father, Nimbalker.
