The story of Turin22

urin was born in just south of Mirkwood, far from any city. Turin’s father, Túro, was a trader between Elves of Mirkwood, and Men. When he was born, Turin’s mother never actually had a name for him. But as a toddler, Turin’s parents noticed he swung objects around with great ease. As he grew older, Turin played with sticks, pretending that he was some soldier fighting off a great mass of orcs, or goblins. When he was one, the family moved to Osgiliath. Túro, and Turin’s brother, Hurô, joined the army, under the command of Faramir. Túro, and Hurô were killed in the Orc ambush at Osgliliath before the Ring and the Dark Lord were completely destroyed. When the family deaths occurred, Turin was only two years old.

inally at the age of four, Turin was named. His mother decided to name him after Túrin, son of Húrin. When Turin turned twelve, his mother died, and so he moved out to the wilderness, and changed his name to Ringhûn, or Cold Heart. During that time, Turin moved to the north, and lived in Mirkwood for eight years, fighting the thought of him being the reason his family was dead. Turin joined with some elves, who would never tell him their names, for they didn’t trust him, or any other man. One of the elves was kinder than the others and befriended Turin, but still there was no name. Turin called him peaceful silver, for he had hair like silver.

ith them he forged himself a long sword, naming it Nuru Raaka, meaning Death Wolf. He also found a dagger, and was given a long bow, which he named Tylpea Lasse, meaning Silver Leaf after his friend. Not long afterwards, an orc raid occurred, and Turin slayed most of the orcs, but in the midst of battle, his friend was killed. Because of this, the rest of the elves cast him away. Turin didn’t blame them for it, and he left, never forgiving himself for the killing of his friend. Around this time, was Turin’s twentieth birthday.

urin then travelled south towards Minas Tirith. On his travels, he encountered bands of orcs, which Turin did nothing to. He had not the heart for killing them. It wasn’t until Turin ventured by Dol Guldur; he finally retaliated against his enemies. He was again attacked by orcs, and he slaughtered them. Nuru Raaka became Turin’s sole reason for living. He swore he would not die, unless it was by his sword. He then made Ringhûn his last name.

few months later, Turin was now twenty-two, Turin walked by Osgiliath, and then Minas Tirith. Not long after entering to the White City, he decided to join the Rangers, not only to enhance my sword fighting abilities, but also to use them to help protect the race of man. There he met the famous Arteris. And so, a young child with no name, and loses his family, travels to Minas Tirith. There he met many great people, and joined the Rangers, hoping to create a chance for people to never have a history like his own.
