The story of Helke Greenleaf

elke is an elf, tall and cold. She has shoulder length brownish hair, which she cuts to keep it that length, though it may seem odd for a lady to do so. She has cold eyes, which are icy-grey. She often keeps her ears partially hidden, as she does not wish to draw attention. Helke often wears a blackish grey camoflauged tunic, embroidered in white, and matching leggings. With this, she always wears a long black cloak, with the White Tree of Gondor embroidered on the back, showing her citizenship of Gondor. At her hip, is always her long blade, and she always carries a hidden dager, just in case. She is not the most beautiful elf, yet she is fair in the tounges of men, if not in that of her own people.

elke is the daughter of an elf lady from Rivendell and her father from Mirkwood. Their names have been lost throughout her long years, but she knows that much. She was born in Mirkwood in the third age, and was 2928 during the time of the War of the Ring. It is unknown if she had siblings or not. Other than this, very little of her history is known, other than the fact that her parents sailed away to Valinor when she was no more than 50 (quite young for an elf). They left not because they wished to disown her, but because the sea calling was strong in their hearts, and Helke did not wish to go.

fter her family left, Helke taught herself many things. She taught herself how to use her long, thin blade, called Amlug, or dragon. She also taught herself archery, riding, and how to stay hidden. Thanks to her natural elven abilities, she made an exelent scout. Then, one day she was accused of murdering another elf, as he had one of her arrows embeded in him. What actually had happened, was an orc had run out of arrows, and used hers which it found lying on the ground. No one believed her though, so she left Mirkwood to escape discrimination. Helke was around 500 at this time. From there, she travelled to Rivendell for a short while, yet soon she felt out of place. Helke did not enjoy being with so many others, and left for Lothlorien. There she dwelt for a long while.

hile Helke was there, she joined the Lothlorien Guard. She was not seen often in her land, as she liked to be alone. She would often be found only with her closest friends. After remaining in Lothlorien for a long while (nearly 1000 years), she felt as though it were time to move on, as she had travelled once or twice to the White City of Gondor. During these trips, she had fallen in love with the city and made many friends there. So, she packed up her things and travelled to Minas Tirith. There she dwelt for the rest of her life, happily and peacefully. She joined up with the Rangers, and placed her country before her own life. Although she was an elf, she felt more at home among the humans of Gondor than among her own kindred.

ecause of her sad past, Helke is cold and lets none hear her heart. She is a warriors spirit, always willing to battle the enemy, no matter what it is. She is loyal to her friends, and known as 'Akul,' or ice in the black tounge to her enemies, as she shows no mercy. The last thing that they ever see, is her icy colored eyes gleaming death. Dispite this though, she is caring towards those that she knows, and can have a great sense of humor when among company that she adores.
