Tarannon , the twelfth King of Gondor took the name Falastur " Lord of the Coasts " . His wife , Queen Beruthiel , hated the sea and would not live in Tarannon`s house near the sea . She had ten cats , nine black and one white . The cats would nose about and tell her things that men like to keep secret . The white cat hurt the black cats. Themen of Gondor did not dare to touch them and hated them . Tarannon put Beruthiel on a ship with her cats and cast her away .
