The characters in Minas Tirith
The story of Robin.
By Luis Royo
Meet Robin Dunedain. She grew up on a farm in the idyllic countryside of Belfalas, outside of Dol Amroth. At a young age, she showed a precocious talent
with a bow and arrow, and was soon put in charge of hunting meat for the family table. Robin's hunting trips often took her out into the wild alone for days at a time,
an arrangement that suited exactly her independent and carefree nature. It was during one such trip that the Orcs attacked her home.
When Robin returned home to find her family murdered and her home destroyed, she devoted her life to the elimination of the foul creatures who ruined her life.
Taking nothing with her but her bow and arrows and the clothes on her back, she left to track the Orcs. After wandering many years in the wilderness,
Robin came upon the White City. Frustrated and tired by her fruitless search, she appreciated the hospitality of the people of Minas Tirith, but still she longed for the
day that she might avenge her family.
While staying in Minas Tirith, Robin was influential in the formation of the Gondor Elite Ranger Corps, and was soon
promoted to 1st bowman. She also helped to design the lovely "Starfish" that all Rangers now wear pinned to their cloaks.
It was about this time that Robin was contacted by distant relatives in Southern Gondor. It seemed a great-aunt had died and left Robin heir to extensive property in Dol Amroth.
Eventually Robin moved back to the land of her youth, but she kept close ties to the friends she had made in Minas Tirith. Of course, her long absences made it
difficult for her to keep up with her duties as a Ranger, and the leadership of the Bowmen division was passed on to Jezabelle.
Other changes took place in Robin's life when another Ranger joined the Bowmen Division. Handsome, intelligent, and well-mannered, Arteris caught Robin's eye
from their first meeting.
However, their courtship progressed slowly, due to the long distances between the two cities.
Now, however, Robin has decided to sell her home in Dol Amroth to Treyan, and move back to Minas Tirith for good. She currently serves as the
Queen's Lady-in-Waiting, a job which occupies little of her time as Gilraen spends most days locked in her room. Robin spends much of her time
chatting in the pubs, defending the King's honor, having romantic candle-lit dinners with Arteris, and, of course, fighting the minions of Mordor who killed her family.
