Alimah
Alimah Myisha Took was born in Northfarthing in the summer many years ago. Her father named her - Alimah meaning "learned in music and dancing" and Myisha "meaning life" after a favorite aunt, who he loved very much. Her father, unfortunatly, died when she was quite young and her mother re-married far too quickly. Her step-father (from a forgien land) was not very kind to young Alimah, or Ali as she preferred to be called. Her step-father had two sons from a previous marriage and they treated her very cruely. Ali seemed to get in the way, so she spent as much time as she could out of the house, wandering about, enjoying the beautiful Shire and going on 'adventures'. Many a day she was reprimanded for not returning home in time. She could never convice her family that adventure can't simply be stopped at dinner time!
Ali was(and remains) an avid reader, and enjoyed reading tales of other lands and hearing stories about them as well. She was in charge of cooking and cleaning in her house, and became very good it both of them. She loved making new things to eat and loved to experiment with different spices. Being an orderly hobbit lass, the house was always in order. Ali loved to have visitors over to her house for tea, so she could bake new recipes.
When her step-father died, Ali moved out of her family home to her own. Since her move, her relationship with her mother improved, as has her life in general.
Currently, Ali enjoys her work at the Ivy Bush, the Shire Party planners and going on more adventures. She hopes to one day visit all the kingdoms of Middle Earth.
Anson Baranduin
Baranduin, or, Baran for short, was born to mother Barlissa Rhodobuck and Donoduin Brandywine in a small cottage on a vineyard on the Brandywine River. Her parents ran the vineyard, and created the now well known Brandywine line of fine wines found in the Shire. As a young lass, Baranduin was quite precocious, and helped her parents to create a new variation of the wine using small portions of cranberries with the grapes. This culiminated in the most popular of the Brandywine wines, and her parents have sinced renamed this variety Baranduin's Brandywine.
As she grew older, Baranduin was not happy with her lot, staying at the vineyard on the banks of the river, where almost no one lived nearby. She longed for something more. She longed to be among other hobbits. She decided to move to Hobbiton to be nearer the center of activity in the Shire. Whilst living there, she met many friends, such as Webit, Lobelia, Garnet, Balbo, Menolly, Tittamire and Rings, among many others. Her parents sadly passed away when Baran was still a tween, and Baran felt obligated to then move back to the river and take over management of her parents' well-loved winery business. Never content to "just make wine" nor to be alone for long, Baranduin now oversees the well-run business, which allows her plenty of spending money and time to continue to explore the Shire and keep in touch with her friends.
Baranduin loves parties, dances, and the like. Her favorite things to do are to play games. Games of all sorts. She is a lore-lover, and has spent many an hour poring over large volumes and tomes from the Hobbiton library. Baranduin also loves to do and make puzzles. She has recently opened a new gathering place for hobbits and other folk, the Puzzle Palantir. She loves giving joy to others.
Baranduin dreams someday of a small cottage in or near hobbiton, and of a young hobbit lad with whom to share her life.
