Ultchuk has been a staple of the plaza, and especially of Isengard, for over five years.  His dedication, energy, and creativity have changed the face of Isengard continuously.  No matter what the thread or activity, whether a serious RPG or a wacky game, Ultchuk has been there to offer advice, time, and energy, helping the threadrunner or running the thread himself.  He is in turn, a mentor, a journalist, a competitor, a poet, a pub master, or even a loony. 

To honor the amazing contributions Ultchuk has made to the plaza, Saruman and Gandalf chose him to be the first Ring-Bearer, the highest honor Isengard bestows.  Ultchuk took up the ring on January 30, 2007.
