Her name as she was in the west has not been spoken for many ages, as she walks Middle Earth she is called "Elen Sila", which is Sindarin for "Star Shine". To most she is known simply as "El" and to her very closest friends "El Silly". For the to most part, El can be found in plain navy blue robes and matching pointy hat with silver stars on it. On special occasions, Elen Sila will wear the shining white robes of her station. She carries only a simple staff of carved and polished oak with her. In the earliest days of Ea, El participated in the Great Music of the Ainur. She watched as the world came into being, but was not sent to its aid. She remained in Valinor instead, serving many of the Valar. Cheifly, she attended on Varda, Lady of the Stars. From Varda she learned the art of succor, so that all may call for her in their hour of need, she learned of the stars and the light, so that she may know that which is more powerful then all darkness. Irmo she also served, to know the power of dreams and healing. She spent much time at the knee of Vaire, learning all of that which has come to pass. Much time she devoted also to Nienna, who taught her compassion and greif for the striving. So it came to be in the later ages of Middle Earth that Elen Sila traveled East at the request of Varda. El was sent to aid her fellow Istari during their various struggles against the Dark Lord and his servants. She wandered through the various realms of Middle Earth for sometime in order to become aquainted with the peoples of Arda. At last she arrived in Isengard, and took up residence in the tower of Orthanc. Isengard is the joy of Elen Sila. It is there she is able to walk among her fellow wizards, which is why she was sent. El's task is to offer comfort and aid to all those who seek it. To those that are fair, just, loyal and above all kind, does El give her love. Those who are malicious, deceitful and cruel are the subjects of her wrath. Though her home is in Isengard, El can often be found abroad discussing the affairs of Middle Earth with many of its leaders. She goes ahead and prepares the way for the Istari, so that their missions may be successful, and invites all to Isengard in return. While at home in Isengard, El can mostly be found in the Great Hall, seated at the Round Table. To her fellow wizards is her mind ever bent and her ear ever open. El can also be found in her chambers, consulting her palantir. Her chambers hold many books and scrolls, and there is always a pot of tea of the fire. The door to El's chambers is never locked, so that her all can come and go as they like. She often can be seen riding Shadowfax across the grounds of Isengard, taking counsel with the Vala Orome, who has ever been her friend. El is delighted to be among her fellow wizards, she counts her mission the most pleasant of all. It is from them that she receives friendship, strength and purpose. She will serve them ever as best she can, until the Valar summon her back to the undying lands from whence she came.

Your robes are of forest green silk, with a violet lining, the green reflecting your somewhat confused family, and your appreciation of salty foods, which in itself shows a sometimes selfish streak. However, this pattern of pink stars on the purple lining shows the other side of your personality, the caring side, shown by your love of sweet things! The purple is an illustration of your favourite colour, which shows that you have a past and a future deeply embedded in mystery and power, and this is indicated also by your chosen favourite place and time of day. Water, ever-changing, has the power to destroy towers and kingdoms, yet runs deep below the land, and hides from us kingdoms of the past, locking their mystery away from us forever. The time of day that you have chosen is also one where power and mystery join as one, hidden by darkness, yet on the edge of daylight. One last finishing touch – a single silver jewel, about the size of one of Buffie’s warts, sewn onto the back, in the middle. This illustrates the single shining star that is Valinor, shining to the West, from whence you came.

When I was a wee Maia back in Valinor, I had a beautiful staff that was gifted to me by Manwe himself. But then that dratted Nienna started weeping "Oh Olorin, you’ve just got to go and save middle earth!" Didn’t exactly feel like it, but as long as I had my beautiful staff that was gifted to me by Manwe, everything would be ok. However, that daft Nienna fussed and sobbed and pushed me out of Valinor so quick my head was spinning. Yup, you guessed it, in the confusion my wonderous staff was left behind. I arrived in Middle Earth disoriented, staffless, clothed in some drab grey robes and soaked in dumb Nienna tears. I wandered around a bit, good thing I didn’t bump into any orcs or wargs or something nasty like that, stupid Nienna left me here totally defenseless. I wandered in the northernmost parts of Middle Earth until I met a lovely chap that could turn himself into a bear. He was a bit odd, but I was hungry and defenseless so I didn’t ask any questions. He liked my dorky pointy hat that I showed up here with and asked if I was a wizard. What in Illuvatar’s name was a wizard? I was a Maia, wizards do card tricks. . But I said yes anyhow, because even though he seemed to have a grasp on magic, I didn’t think Bearman would get my drift. He told me a proper wizard should have a staff. I just rolled my eyes. No duh Bearman. I realized I wouldn’t be able to save Middle Earth by hanging out with Bearman, so I said thanks for the chow and got up to go on my way. Bearman stopped me at the front door, said something about going out it being a dangerous business. Then he did something really cool. He gave me a brand new staff! It was made of gorgeous wood from his own forrest. He said it was ages old and contained deep magic of the ancient kind. It’s roughly 5 and a half feet high, the wood is smooth and polished. It’s a rich mahogany color with no adornments. The top has four prongs, all of gnarled wood, which allow me to fit a stone into it when need be. But the coolest part is that it came with a matching travel wand. I know some wizards have issues with it because its not the "Big Gandalf Staff", but it fits nicely into the sleeve of my robes and its much easier for working around the tower. I do love my staff best though. Thank you Bearman, where ever you are.
