I was their in the beginning when Eru proclaimed his great themes, I saw the visions Ea that he caused us to see. I descended with my brethren into Ea with the mighty Ainur. I saw the Mighty Tulkas descend from the Heavens and take the victory over Melkor. And the Lamps were wrought and we dwelled on the Isle of Almaren.I was there when the fell and darkness surrounded us.And then we went to Aman and i helped in the shaping and beautifying of those blessed lands.

I am the Maia of the Feanturi who Namo and Irmo or Mandos and Lorien as they were known by the lesser. Long i dwelt in the Vast halls of Mandos learning all that once was and much that might be. I have seen the mighty weavings of the great Vaire. Long i laboured in the shaping of those halls which now only the dead see. Long, also, i dwelt in the beauty of the gardens of Irmo. Much of visions and dreams did i learn from him and Great knowledge i have of Healing through the teachings of Este. I tended the gardens with great care so that those that have laboured long since the founding of Arda may draw rest and refreshment. But my spirit did not stay in place, oft i went to the great mansions of Aule and Yavanna. Of all the Ainur in Valinor most love i bore to the Feanturi and their spouses, but great love was their between me and Aule.

I was with the great host when we assailed Melkor in the days of the Awakening. I saw him be thrown to the ground and chained. I saw his doome be proclaimed before Manwe. And i took him to his prison deep in the confines of Mandos. Afterwards came the great debate, wether or no we would bring the elves to Valinor, I was in like thought with Ulmo, lord of the waters, but the will of others prevailed and the doom of Valinor was wrought. But those were the glory days when the Eldar were assembled, great love i bore for the house of Finwe and long i terried in Alqualonde with the Teleri. But to the Vanyar i seldom went for they were oft amongst Manwe, and of all the Valar i had the least love for him, which is the cause of much that would later occur. The ages past and Melkor was released and the Greatness of Valinor was at its Zenith. The release of Melkor made me hot and long i spoke to Manwe but he listned not and hence forth never more did Manwe and I speak on Kind terms. And then things befell which are known to all the wise concerning the Noldor and Finwe. Great love i bore for Feanor and much i counseled him, and greatest among my concerns was that Feanor would be tricked into alliance with Melkor, and so i warned him and feed a hatred into his heart concerning Melkor. So the days passed and Manwe proclaimed a great feast, loth was i to go but i succumed to the will of Irmo and Namo my masters. And so the trees were darkened and the Noldor left and thus befell the Battle of Alqualonde and they came to the wastes of Araman. Meanwhile Mandos put words in my mouth and sent me to meet the host of the Noldor, for he and the Valar were holding vigil at that time, and i stood forth and proclaimed the Doom of the Noldor as it was afterwards named. the words that were spoken were not mine, they came from Mandos and through me they were delivered to the Noldor. I returned to the Ring of Doom and the Valar were deep in thought. And the Sun and Moon were made and put aloft into the sky and Valinor was fortified.

The darkening of Valinor and the exiling of Feanor filled me with a great anger. Lorien saw into my anger and tried to comfort me but it was to no avail. So i ascened Taniquetil and entered the Halls of Manwe and there before his thrown i spoke fell words to him concerning the release of Melkor and the great feast he had proclaimed which had allowed these great evils. Then i left him to think about what had occured. i went to the halls of Mandos and found Feanor already there i spoke words of comfort to him and then i departed. Mandos and Lorien tried to convince me to stay but i would have none of it. "I will not stay in this land while those of the house of Finwe are fighting against Melkor who, if not for the insolence of Manwe, would still be in the prison we delved for him." so i spoke to the Feanturi and they seeing into my spirit told me i was free to go and they aided me. So i left Aman and came to Belariand. Long were my labours in those days healing the weary conjuring visions into their minds to aid them in their fight with Morgoth.

I saw the end of the First age and took part in the great battle that took place. But i remained in Middle Earth through the 2nd and 3rd ages doing still the work that i did in the First Age. And here i am still abiding in Middle Earth aiding the fight against evil. One day i may return to Valinor but that day i cannot foresee.
