After a time, a shadow of foreboding slowly fell upon Galendae’s heart and she knew there was trouble in Middle Earth. She took a palamino steed and set off in haste to the forest of Fangorn. As she came to the northern most part of Fangorn she could feel the shadow upon her grow darker. It was there that she discovered a colony of orcs that were invading Fangorn. They had felled many trees and destroyed the land with their fire. Galendae knew she had to act quickly before Fangorn would forever be scarred. Quickly she rode deep into the forest and began to summon all the beasts and ents of Fangorn. Together they marched on the orcs and soon conquered their enemies. However, the land was stained with the filth of the orcs and Galendae’s host was lost in despair at the destruction the orcs had caused. A song was then heard being whispered from Galendae’s lips that slowly grew louder and clearer. The companies spirits were lifted as Galendae’s song of healing and growth spread over the land and into the air. The ents and animals slowly returned to their homes in Fangorn but Galendae lingered behind singing her song. Soon afterwards she returned to Isengard weary and weak. However, she often returned to that place in Fangorn and would lay her song of blessing on the land. That next spring, the land that was once destroyed and spoiled by the orcs was found blooming in new growth and a renewed strength. Galendae then rested in Isengard, enjoying the company of the istari, awaiting the time her aid would again be needed.
