DEDICATION

This site has been built with the efforts of the members of the Lord of the Rings Fanatics Plaza, and let it be known that without them, this site would not be possible. Inspired by the works of Tolkien, we have sought to create a site that has its foundation in our own affection for his writing and a desire to offer our knowledge of it to all who might share even an ounce of our passion for Hobbits and Wizards, Elves and Dwarves, and Dragons and Balrogs.

Please consider this when reading through the entries on this site. They have been made, not by professionals seeking publicity, money, or renown, but by people who simply wanted to use their own wisdom, great or small, to its fullest in appreciation of Tolkien and his readers. This is not just some encyclopedic listing of names and events from Tolkien's works, nor is it a profound essay of criticism. Rather, it is a collection of fully-crafted entries on the various areas dealt with in the mythos, with all of the information that the fans who carefully wrote them decided should be included. It is our hope that we have presented a representation of Middle-earth that is true to the master who created this world which we so much enjoy.

In honor of three years in existence, and a growing size, this list of some of the Library's Best entries has been compiled, and perhaps deserves a place here:
