What the Poetry and Prose Guild Does
The Poetry and Prose Guild of Lothlorien, or Lairemarde in Sindarin, is a place in Lothlorien designed to let Galadhrim, or anyone on the Plaza, share their works and get friendly reviews from other members of the Guild. Here they may learn new things such as different writing techniques, and may participate in contests on either different kinds of poetry (such as limericks and free verse) or short stories. Anyone is welcomed, and the Guild Mistresses Herinya and Callowynne are both glad to see new members!

A Description of the Poetry and Prose Guild's Talan
Walking through Adab-i-nGevennais you come across two large doors. The doors open to an enormous hall, filled with writing tables and comfortable chairs. Scattered all over the place are quills, ink and parchments, some written on, others waiting to be filled by those that dwell here. As you walk through these halls you pass numerous tapestries and paintings. There are several open windows showing you a colorful and peaceful garden. The voices of the birds mix with the sounds of the wind and swaying trees and in the distance you can hear water running. As you come to the seemingly long stairway that would lead you to this beautiful garden, you notice a desk that seems different from the others. You look more closely and realize that the only thing different about it is the small statue of a dragon on top of it.
Suddenly you are greeted by Herinya and Callowynne. They look up and smile.
"Welcome stranger and be at peace here in our halls.
Sit and share your thoughts, my friend
Of what you’ve seen or things to be
Of songs and tales, of moon and sun
In Lairëmardë, hall of poetry."

Creations of the Guild
Here lay a selection of the many works of Lairemarde.
Far from where we long to be
is where we end up going
Far from what we want to see
are things we end up showing.
Apart from life, its firm embrace
Is for what we're always looking,
But closer to the hold of death
It's rapture slowly hooking
Beware, my friends the things so sought
for they will someday take you,
To where they really want to go
to hinder and forsake you.
Flee then to those who will protect
The light of heart and mind
For they will lead you to where you're safe
And great things you will find.

The Tale of Two Worlds
Father, how can I serve thee?
Love him no more, daughter Evenstar. Cleave to me.
Father I have tried but I cannot surrender.
Tinuviel I love you, and that I will not hinder.
Father he is noble and valiant and brave.
Evenstar I care not, will you not stay?
Nay, ada, he needs my love.
Then I must go alone, to the land up above?
I do not wish this, father you know.
I will not leave you Tinuviel, I love you so.
As I love you, that will never change.
We do you do this? You cause me such pain.
I do this only for my happiness, father, which you hold dear.
My Evenstar he is mortal. His fate numbers your years.
The Twilight, Ada, I will renounce.
Tinuviel, he will die and your lips will carry a frown.
But father, my lips already do.
Then will you not come with me? They await you.
Father I shall stay. My heart has made its choice.
The lands will be quiet, with the absence of your voice.
I shall walk in the silent halls.
And without him all is lost.
But mortal I will become
And together, for a while
We will dwell under the sun.
The twilight we renounced, for the sake of love.
And we accepted the gift of men, that came from up above

The Birth of Dew
Stars weep silver dewdrops,
which fall in liquid splendor.
Gleaming from the glow of the moon,
slowly descending, fondled by the cool night breeze.
A moment of true beauty,
when dew comes into being,
always to be born anew, ere the sunsets.
A whimsical essence fills the air,
as your eyes behold a most magical sight.
You are engrossed with an almost fantastical feeling,
yearning for an eternal night that would never end.
At last coming to the sleeping earth,
and gently caressing the blades of a summer field.
Slipping elegantly upon a young leaf, to be
cupped in a pool of limpid light.
The morning dew comes from the tears of stars,
as I believe, for none are present to view its' birth.
~Ailaya Nydrian~
I sing of wars long since begun
a peace once-broken unmended
And I bear both sword and shield
in the shattering of the world
Mock me not, my strength shall come
And I will destroy the indestructible
For the sun rises, with the shout of death
to bring the eddies of dark on the white-wall
To the greatest ruin of shame
As we surge forth to a new victory.

Safe Haven
I hear the call, the longing,
Middle Earth is no longer my home,
“Fall into the West” I am singing,
My voice is soft as I roam,
The sun is setting,
As my feet are walking.
Through the woods I go, along with others,
We make a staggering line of fading glory,
Mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers,
We are singing our lament, our story.
Do you hear the melodious singing of the elves?
The soft singing of the lament of leaving,
For the sun is setting on themselves,
And rising with the dawn of men dreaming.
They hear the calling, the mere longing,
For Middle Earth is no longer their home,
Into the West they are going,
Into the Grey Havens to no longer roam.
A glimpse you may catch as they are walking,
To the ship to carry them away,
Hear their longing as they are singing,
Their longing for the sea spray.
~Callie~
Ode to the Lorien Warrior
By quiver and arrow so true and light
Of steadfast sword and elven blade
Never would I, hesitate to fight
To use my skill, to protect Lorien’s glade
Against any foe, I know not fear
Legions of Orcs I would gladly hew
Minions of darkness, your lives I will sear
Should you enter the realm of the Galadrihim, the true
I shall protect my home, my family and my kin
With my life, if needs be, I shall gladly pay the prize
I shall never surrender for courage is my twin
And my valor is my enemies’ demise.
~ChrisMis~
How can the tongues of elves and men describe the realm Lothlórien?
or Galadriel, Noldorin queen, whose equal Arda hath not seen;
nor Celeborn, the wisest lord, as swift with guidance as with sword
Still shall I try and tell to thee what grows in Lórien, plant and tree
of Earendil on earth below, silver flower in starlit glow
Niphredil, I see thee shine, thy petals gleam in light divine
the golden flower Elanor does oft Galadriel adorn
she weaves them into beauteous crowns, and sets them on her snowy brow.
Yet mallorn tree, I love thee best, with stature great above the rest
with trunk of silver, leaves of gold
thy petals glimmering unfold.
~Aklarien~
The Radiance of Healing
When I reach my end
You rise like a burning flame
Scented with embrace
