1. First of all, you need a picture. (If you have one on your computer already, proceed to step 5.)
2. It is important to not hotlink (Bandwidth Theft); do not steal bandwidth from other websites.
3. To avoid hotlinking locate your picture on a website, and you right click with your mouse, and click “Save As...” (Make sure you are allowed to use this picture for your own use.)
4. Now, save your picture on you computer by clicking “Save” in the window that comes up.
5. When you have the picture you want to post you will need to upload it on the Internet.
6. The easiest and most usual way is to sign up for an account at www.photobucket.com. (If you already have an account at Photobucket or another place, and you know how to use it, proceed to step 19.)
7. Now that you have an account here, you are ready to upload pictures.
8. You will now see a title called “Add Pictures”, and within this frame, there is a button named “Browse...” (The name of this button may be different depending on what language your operating system has.)
9. Click the button called “Browse...”, and browse your computer for the picture you want to upload.
10. When you have selected the picture, you click the button called “Open”
11. You are now ready to upload your picture. Before you upload it, you can choose whether you want to keep the original name of the picture, or not. (If not, Photobucket will choose a random name. It would be recommended to do so, as some might call their pictures their Real Life name, and you may not want this public.)
12. When you have made your decision, you click the button called “Submit”.
13. Congratulations! You have now uploaded the picture on the Internet!
14. When you scroll down, you will now find your picture.
15. Over the picture, there will be four options: ”Move” ~ Here you may move your picture to another Album. To add Albums, you will find a title called “Add Sub Album”, which is located between the “Add Pictures” and where your pictures are. ”Edit” ~ Here you are able to edit the name of your picture, resize your picture, and rotate your picture. ”Delete” ~ Easy enough, you delete your picture. ”Blog” ~ Here you can post directly to Live Journal, etc. This is currently a beta version.
16. Under the picture you will have three options:
”Url” ~ This is the direct link to your picture. ”Tag” ~ This is the html tag, that you can use when using the picture on your website. ”Img” ~ You can use this when using your picture on boards. 17. Now, you will choose the “Url”, click within the box left to the text, and your URL will be highlighted.
18. When your URL is highlighted, you will have to copy this. (You can do this by right click on your mouse, and click copy, or push CTRL + C on the keyboard.)
19. Go to the thread where you want to post your picture.
20. Now, click the picture of the tree over the message box, that looks like this:

21. When you have clicked this picture, a window will open.
22. Now you simply paste your URL here. (Right click on your mouse and click paste, or push CTRL+ V.)
23. Before you click OK, check that in the URL you now added, http:// is not written twice, if so, it won’t work, but you simply just remove it to fix this.
24. You are now ready to click OK, so don’t hesitate and click!
