Superlatives of Lothlórien

'Praise them!'
A modest talan was opened mysteriously in the Golden Wood. It was just on the outskirts of Caras Galadhon, and, if one stood at the Eastern side of the talan, he or she would be able to see the soft glow of light that emanated from the Elven city. It was placed high in the loftier branches of the mallorn tree in which it sat, and a long silver ladder descended from it. Several of the higher branches were used to make the roof of the talan. In one corner is a warm hearth. A number of chairs were set up for the voters, while a greeting elf stood by the entrance. A podium stood at the front of the room, which was where the finalists would be announced.
On January 7, 2006, the second Superlatives of Lórien contest was held in honour of its second anniversary. Different categories were set up, and Galadhrim were voted on by their fellow Elves. Prizes were given out to third, second and first place.
