Mission Statement of the Mordini Family

To provide a niche for illegal activities such as smuggling, racketeering, gambling, extortion, bribery, and other similar pursuits. To provide employment for the rogues, the scum, and the simply criminal portion of Mordor. The Family is a completely self-supporting organization surviving on the strength of the Don, the Graunan Main, and a little help from above. The Family is not an army, a social club, nor is it a recreational opportunity. The Mordini Family promise nothing more than a sense of purpose, opportunity for advancement in the hierarchy of organized crime, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience, if you know how to keep your mouth shut and your ears closed.

The 5 Vows

Before a minion becomes a "made minion" of the Family, they are sworn by oath to follow these vows. Violations of these vows will only result in death.

1. Omerta - The code of silence. Never to "rat out" any Family members. Never to divulge any Family secrets. Even if you are threatened by torture or death. It is better to die by your words than to die by the blade of your own Family members.

2. Complete obedience to the Don - Obey the Don’s orders no matter what.

3. Assistance - To provide any assistance to any other respected or befriended underground faction.

4. Vengeance - Any attack on Family members must be avenged. "An attack on one is an attack on all." However, approval must be granted from the Don and the Graunan Main. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal of the protection of the Diran.

5. Avoid contact with authorities.

The Ranks Within the Family

Âru Ûgartha (The Don): The head of the Family, who makes all executive decisions. He has the power to veto all business deals as well as give the OK to any proposition. When confronted by another Family, he has the ultimate authority on the course of action to take. The Don is responsible for organizing all RPGs and such activities with the help of his Graunan Main. This position will be filled by Don Narguzîr.

Graunan Main: There are two Graunan Main, each in charge of their own sections of the Family. The Family is divided into these two groups. The Graunan Main have the ability to promote members (which the Don does not) and to sanctify certain business deals. The Graunan Main are the Don’s chief advisors and closest friends, and can be trusted absolutely. If a Graunan Main betrays the Family, then it’s all over. Don Narguzîr’s chief advisors are Elfhild and Nihferhowyn.

Diran: The Diran is the main protection of the Family. The Diran runs interference from the authorities, provides emergency funds, and will occasionally request tasks of the Family. The Diran is a mysterious character who prefers to stay cloaked in the shadows of anonymity, free from the prying eyes of authority.
Only the Graunan Main and the Don know the true identity of the Diran.

Namabakû: The family ’Hammer’. The rank beneath the Graunan Main, the Hammer takes orders directly from the Don and also acts as the Don’s personal bodyguard.

Turnaghi: After proving one’s worth, a minion can climb the promotional ladder and become a Turnaghi. The Turnaghi are trusted to carry out orders flawlessly and silently, leaving no traces. Yet to keep the ranks of the Mordini’s elite in immaculate condition, there are only ever five Turnaghi at any one time. The only way a Turnaghi is relieved of service is when he his killed.

Nimpakû: This is the rank that all members of the Mordini Family begin at. The Nimpakû are the main power of the Mordini and are those who deliver messages, intimidate shop keepers and many other of the smaller jobs. There may be as many Nimpakû as is required.

Dulgan Razhan: The Family is an ever-expanding entity and its name has no doubt reached the ears of those not actually of the Black Land. Those who seek a place among the family and yet are not blessed to be a servant of Sauron can sometimes be admitted after proving their worth and loyalty to the Don and the family. At no point may there be more Dulgan Razhan than actual Minion family members however.
