The Moose

The Moose. This is arguably the largest creature in Mordor. Next to the almost exctinct winged-beasts of the Nazgul, of course....
The moose is anywhere between fifteen and twenty feet long, and has a antler span of about ten feet. They usually are a Dark brownish-black, the average dull coat color in Mordor. Highly prized by rednecks for their antlers, and highly prized by meat-producers as a very cheap alternative to beef, which tastes exactly the same, the moose is growing more and more rare, although it still thrives in the deep forests and meadowlands. However, overhunting in the more populous areas is deemed a good thing by most residents, due in large part to the large amount of waste excrimented by the very large mammal.
However, it is for this very reason of high output of bodily wastes, that the moose is making it’s comeback. The Fertilizer Co. is using them for a high-output, inexpensive, and quickly-reproducing form of new fertilizer producers. For this reason they are breeding large amounts of the creatures, and selling the byproduct en-mass to local and commercial farmers, for a considerable profit. Therefore the number of domestic moose is rising steadily, and now the preservation of endangered animals in Mordor is considering taking some of these domestic moose and training them to survive in their natural environment, and so repopulate the moose in the wild.
