The Salamander
The Mordorian Salamander is believed to be a far-distant cousin of the dragons that are now being bred. It’s size, though, indicates it is VERY distant....
The mordorian Salamander is usually between five and ten inches long. The most common color is an orangish red, that comes from living near the crater of mount Doom. However, the various species color’s differs due to it’s environment. It is a fire-breather, and is commonly used in households as a small-sized oven, used to heat small meal quickly. It has been nicknamed a "microfire", and is gaining popularity.
Salamanders are so easy to use, that conventional ovens are becoming obsolete for many of it’s previous roles. Making hot tea or cocoa with the salamander takes just a fraction of the time used by regular ovens. It is rumored that the Oven Maker of Mordor, in companionship with the little-known LDPS (Little-Dragon preservation society), are going to sue the Microfire corporation, with charges of cruelty and abuse toward a misunderstood creature that is completely helpless to defend itself. However, the movement is gaining large opposition from the Overeaters Anonymous Corps, who claim the Microfire dragons are doing the populous a favor by promoting smaller eating habits. The topic is in hot debate as of now....
