A Spy report from Khazad-Dum

*Aiwendil walks into the KDP office, and hands in a small report* These are the events of the accounts witnessed in Khazad-Dum, as of last week. Took me that long to write it *Awiendil quickly silences a slave who was about to protest* Hehe, don’t listen to him.
Spying in Khazad-Dum, on a regular check-up mission of the enemies of Mordor, I noticed a highly unusual event, the likes of which have not been seen before by any minion, I am sure.
I was in a small closet, having crawled in through one of the many unmonitered air ducts used for ventilation, and I was witnessing through a crack in the door an awards ceremony, I assume it was for some kind of Olympic Games. Anyway, I was about to move on to other areas, assuming there was nothing to see at an awards ceremony. I happened to look back through the crack as I was leaving, and I found out that assumptions are truly something that you should never do. They were awarding a prize for the long-distance running champion, the race being around the lower halls, being approxamantly twenty-eight kilometers miles around, and I happened to notice that the time for the winning person was one hour. Naturally, that captured my attention. And when the winner came to the podium, I was absolutely awestruck. The "Dwarf" was an absolute giant, even for a cave troll size. He was around sixteen feet high, and he was as wide as a barrel. I stuck around after that, to learn more about maybe why this strange dwarf was so huge. Well, i got my answer soon enough. A team of scientists came up on the podium after the award was presented to the behemoth, and started a lecture on "the progressive mutations of genes when exposed to certain elements in the earth’s core". Naturally, I didn’t understand a word of it. After the lecture, they demonstrated how well the experiment turned out, by making the giant tear one of the gargantuin stone support pillars away from floor, and bench pressing it ten times, then putting it back. Anyway, I wrote the events down anyway, so as to bring it to the leaders of the army, and so scientists could study ideas of why, and how, the dwarves managed to make a supergiant.
