Túrin

Plaza Life

Túrin was not always known by that name, his name of younger days was Elk. He is a Dark Númenórean, born near the City of the Corsairs in Umbar. Always an outcast from the local boys, his father would take him on journeys north to accompany him as he studied tactics or siege with Dwarves. At one point there was an extended stay in Isengard as his father studied in great detail the construction of that fortress. Finally, however, Túrin’s youth had run its course and he joined the army. He was swiftly promoted to become a minor officer - parlty because of his father’s position and connections, and mostly for his skill in both mind and blade. Túrin’s post was the captain of the soldiers aboard the Ancalagon, it was one of the larger ships in the service of the Prince of Umbar. For several years he was content there, sailing the high seas and fighting when they met the occasional ship of Gondor. Later, though, his lot became a burden as he was troubled by strange dreams, calling him North. After some time, he chose to heed the call and entered the service of Dol Guldûr (DoM), where his new name, Túrin, was bestowed upon him. After the events there, the Dark Númenórean made his way to Mordor, where he pledged his allegiance to the Dark Lord and serves still today...

Real Life:

I was born in Michigan, USA (where I still live) in June, 1985 and go by the name "Big Bird". I’m an avid fan of hockey, and played it all 5 years of school that I could (along with some soccer in there as well) and then went to University not too far from my hometown and after a few semesters and majors decided to study Mathematics. If you don’t know already, the books of JRR Tolkien are my passion; I love not only the lore of Middle-earth but also being able to use that lore to step inside his world and become one of the races he created. I’ve also enjoyed my share of video games in my life, like Final Fantasy and Age of Empires, though being on the Plaza has basically eclipsed my video gaming the past year or so. I think there are enough pictures of me spread through the Plaza and Faces of Terror that I don’t need another one here.
