Plazalutions

Dear Plazaites, Plazonians, Plazoids and Spammers!

It’s that time of year again, when we put away all of our cares and strife and look into our hearts and to our friends and family and decide...what the heck am I gonna get these people?!

The Plaza is home to a lot of people from a great number of countries and faiths, and it’s very easy for those of us who celebrate the Christmas holidays to forget that the rest of the world isn’t on the same calendar. With all the talk lately about the war on Christmas in the media here in the US, it’s easy to forget that, though Christmas is technically a religious holiday, the season has become one of an international time for friends and families of all faiths to come together and remember why we should be thankful for all we have. It should also be a time for people of differing faiths to extend that feeling of outreach and kindness to our neighbors, but with respect for each other’s beliefs.

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukka or Hanukka, whichever spelling you prefer, Joyous Kwanzaa, Happy Yule, Samhaim or Beltane, Merry Sinterklaas, Happy Dong zhi, Merry Yalda, Happy Boxing Day, and Merry Festivus!

If I forgot anyone or offended anyone by missing or misspelling - tough, hehe.

Remember, be excellent to each other. - Peeg
