I am Cuidighti, son of an infamous Rider known as Gray Eyes. I was born to him after he was discharged, and never knew my mother. Because he sought reclusion, my father and I lived on the northern outskirts of the Mark near Entwood. Having to live off the land for the most part, my lore of the forest and fields was cultivated. Eventually I was taught how to ride, how to pluck the eow, and I was taught a few sword tricks in my teenage years. When I became of age to join the Cavalry, my father departed to the north and bid me make well of my own life. To reclaim the honor of my kin, I have come to Meduseld and enlisted as a soldier. I reside now in the cabin of my uncle, working humbly until the trumpets call me to battle or I am compelled so much as to do so on my own. |
