The mighty rider now known as "The Rohirrim Elessar" was born under Drihten Ealu (a man named after his father’s unsufferable need for ale) and Glofingas the Shieldmaiden to the Clan of the Eowain. Glofingas soon died during an impromptu sojourn north in the name of Broma, or Orome the Hunter. After the news came that she was slaughtered by spiders and elves of Mirkwood, Ealu gave his newborn son, Feagol, to his uncle Deain, and marched north alone save a small band of Riders, to Mirkwood and of the most amazing victories of any Rohirrim in the history of the Riddermark. It is not known of because of the simple fact that the only two who knew where twelve Riders where when they disappeared and were never seen again were an infant and a cowardly Sperewigend, a spear-wielding Rider. Soon enough, the young Feagol was older, wiser, and much deadlier. He was a hunter, and a Drihten like his father. He gained the most favor in the eyes of King Theoden, and supported Eomer of the Mark as much as possible. When Grima Wormtongue took over Theoden’s mind, however, Feagol gave full allegiance to Eomer, and followed him until the fateful day that Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took escaped Grishnakh into Fangorn Forest. Unbeknownst to them they were tracked by the greatest hunter in the history of Rohan, maybe even of the line of Broma, if ever there was one. Following them to the Entmoot, he was caught nearly by Quickbeam, but escaped in time. Not knowing where he was going, he fled far, little understanding that the Forest was long since gone. Stopping only when another forest loomed above him, he rested, for the ride had been long. He entered the forest, marvelling at its golden hue. Halfway through an elf calling himself Haldir captured him, and held him prisoner in the enchanted forest of Lorien. Swearing allegiance to the elves and to Lorien, Haldir let him free, granting him the title of Elessar, elf-friend, for his friendship with the Lady of the Wood and Celeborn had skyrocketed to amazing proportions, enough to sacrifice his life for them, not even knowing that he was granted the same title as Aragron II had recieved for his love of Arwen. When, however, he haerd of the Battle of Helms’ Deep and of the Pelennor Fields, he requested a leave of absence from his duty, hoping to save his land. When he returned, Rohan and Gondor were united, his old captain Eomer king of Rohan, Aragorn the Elessar king of Gondor. Regretting his decision to leave Eomer, he requested pardoning. His pardon granted, he returned to Lorien for a final farewell, went back to the Golden Hall of Meduseld, and told his life story to any bored enough to listen. |
