Plaza Life:
When young Faramir was born in a small town among the plains of West Emnet, he was the youngest of three siblings. His love was always of horses and riding them and becoming the best rider among his friends and eventually of his town. His father only encouraged him, but never demanded this of him, but it was clear that he was born to be on a horse. Far worked tirelessly on his own to hone his horsemanship abilities, trained with his instructor and without him to become the best he could be. He then learned the art of weapons use upon his steed. He would never stop a drill or practice until he had mastered it. Often, after all the others in his group had left, he would stay out on the plains and practice. These were the times that he loved loved best; alone with his horse and just the plains in front of him. Finally, his father, always known as Pookie to his son (when Far was a babe and could not pronounce Papa), told him it was time for him to seek Meduseld and join the cavalry that he had always trained for. "But Father, I don’t want to leave." He spoke:"Son, you have trained for this and wanted this your entire life. You have to go, you deserve to go." Finally Far left for Meduseld to join the Cavalry. One sad day a herald came to Faramirr and gave him the message: "Your father has taken ill and you must return home as soon as you can." Far left immediately and upon returning home found his Father on his death bed clinging to life. "Father, I have returned." His Father looked upon him with glazed eyes that suddenly sharpened and focused on him: "My son..." Far responded: "Father, there so much I need to talk to you about. I still have so much to learn from you." He smiled and said: "My son, you have become the man I knew you would become and your life is before you. I hope I have given you all that I could." Far, kissed his hand and said: "I am because you made me and have given a son all he could hope for." After his Father’s death, Far returned to Meduseld and the rest is history...
