Wulfhelm’s illegitimate son Wulfron (brother to Wulfstan) was brought up and raised secretly due to his ignoble birth, then sent off to the Fangorn to live like the outcast he was born to be. He fell in love with a young Rohan maiden who had run away. They produced one son and lived in Fangorn where they loved the trees (yeah, weird for the Rohirrim.) Their one offspring, a son, followed Wulfron’s way of life and the pattern continued for many generations although no one noticed them as they practiced the quiet ways of hermits. Generations later, Fyrwulf was born to Waldwulf, son of Wulfwigend, and Eolaina, a runaway from Rohan. Fyrwulf was named so as he was born as a campfire that got out of control, raged around his pregnant mother. Waldwulf pulled Fyrwulf and Eolaina to safety. Attracted to the fire, Mithrandir himself (he was on his way to Isengard back before Saruman was corrupted) stopped by and then began a relationship with Fyrwulf as godfather. Until the age of fourteen, Mithrandir took Fyrwulf as a protege and taught him the secrets of the power of fire. Waldwulf heavily trained his son in the arts of horse riding, scouting, dueling, and fighting with all types of weapons, and the secret art of being silent (which was taught to Waldwulf by a wondering hobbit years before.) Eolaina (who once was a great noble lady of the Mark who ran away due to a tragedy she couldn’t live with) taught Fyrwulf dancing, manners, courting, balance, and the precise talent of talking to females without offending them . At fourteen, Mithrandir dubbed him the Flame of Anor according to the power and intensity with which Fyrwulf used his fire magic. At this time the only living descendant of Holdred Anlaf, Fyrwulf, went back to Rohan and claimed to be an orphan that was left in the wilderness. Orome took him as a brother and they became great friends. Two and a half years later, Flame of Anor, as he is now known, went on a secret scouting quest as Special paethfindian of the King through Orome. Having just returned at the age of eighteen, a seasoned lone warrior of many battles, he finds himself caught up in the public affairs of the Rohirrim and ready to start his adventures as an adult. Enlisting in the Cavalry, he now awaits the gracious decision of a very busy Remy, so that he may start his official training. So as a clam member of Eowain, and being in himself the entire House of Holdred Anlaf, the Flame of Anor, Fyrwulf, cries out, "King, Clan, and Country." |
