I was born in southern California in 1986, but moved to Oregon when I was two and haven't gotten any further since then, despite begging and pleading my parents to move to Hawaii. My mother taught me to read when I was four years old, but, unfortunately, I did not discover the wonderful world of Middle Earth until I was fifteen. Besides a love for reading, I greatly enjoy playing the piano and horseback riding. About the time I began thinking of high-school graduation, somebody mentioned that an awe-inspiring place known as college awaited for me next. As there did not seem to be much of a job market for barrel racers, I decided to major in nursing, and am graduating this June with my RN degree. Despite having spent the last fifteen years or so in school, I am planning on either going back to school in a year or two and getting another nursing degree, or switch completely and get a degree in history. Any free time I have between classes (not much) I work at the local hospital, although I do try to go downhill skiing (should it be winter) or white water rafting (if it's summer). Besides that, I spend an inordinate amount of time online at a wonderful site known as the Plaza. |

I discovered the Plaza in 2004 when I was doing a Google search for Lord of the Rings trivia. The Plaza popped up, and had quite possibly the best quizzes I have found yet. One requirement for taking the quizzes, however, was registering, and I had a horrible time coming up with a half-way interesting sounding name that wasn't yet taken. I finally came up with gwaihirwindlord, which I used for probably all of three months before I switched. After I took all the quizzes I could, I figured out that one could join a kingdom, which I thought was really cool, although not having a clue what it was about. I picked Rohan because the mouse slipped while I meant to click on Gondor, but I have never looked back - that was possibly one of the best 'mistakes' I have ever made. After a while, I figured out that I could actually post in the movie forums, and then the lore forums, and, after being on the plaza for about two months, I finally summoned up the courage to click on my kingdom of Rohan, and away I went! During my time on the Plaza, I have met some absolutely wonderful people from every Kingdom that I am now happy to be able to call my friends. |
